Heathers 2nd CD is Great! just like her 1st one,
By John H Thompson (Colfax, Washington - USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Candy & Dirt (Audio CD)
Listening to this CD is a rare treat. A fresh, energetic and fun ride through wonderfully flowing tunes and lyrics. Every track is a captivating story you'll want to go back and listen to over and over. These songs are so infectious I find myself singing lines from her songs in my head at anytime of day. Listen to "Great White Hope". (You can download it from Amazon.com for free) And you will see what I mean.

Heather's stirring set of eccentric story songs!,
By Bruce Maigatter (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Candy & Dirt (Audio CD)
Heather Eatman is an extraordinary and surprisingly undiscovered singer songwriter. She writes very catchy folk/pop songs. She follows up her superb debut CD "Mascara Falls" with this equally strong set. One of many highlights is "Nice Girls" with a melody that sticks in your head and Heather's typically humorous lyrics: "I'm not bright, but still my grades were all right...at cosmetology school". "Black Lincoln Bomb" is a slow saunter through idiosyncratic imagery: "hairdos that reach for the streetlights, pant-suits that desperately cling, A faulty electric martini flickers just out of reach". And "A Kid Like You" observes "you walked in, right away I knew: the future wore gold glitter platform shoes".

Heather strikes again. An excellent follow-up to Mascara Falls. Heather has once again created a unique blend of insightful and thought provoking lyrics combined with distinct melodies and vocal harmonies. Heather is one of my favorite artists, as I continually hear new subtle nuances in her music each time I listen to it. Thus I find myself listening over and over again. I highly recommend Heather to those who may not have heard her :-)
