5.0 out of 5 stars Safety Dance is track #13
Yes, there are 13 tracks on the CD.

I could not find the title for Track #12, but it contains a lot of swearing.

Track #13 is "Safety Dance". This version is a hundred times better than the Men Without Hats version. It rocks. I give this CD five stars just for this track.

3.0 out of 5 stars Starts out great and closes out poorly
When you put this CD into the player, you'll be amazed by the first three songs, if you are a fan of the music. The band is creative and the singer does a good job of expressing his ideas. But then you move on to song 4 and there is a woman singer in the middle, who is rather wrongly put there. She doesn't belong on that type of an album. Song 5 is not horrible. Then...

4.0 out of 5 stars A step up, March 14, 2005

I'm pleased to see that this CD is available on Amazon because it was hard to come by back in the day. It deserves to be heard because 20 Dead were a saddly underrated band.

The first word I'd use to describe this CD is "aggressive." An amalgam of industrial, hardcore metal, with a touch of rap and even new wave (check out their killer version of "Safety Dance"), 20 Dead were simply better than the rapcore scene they preceded. In my opinion, this is their best CD and far outshines their self-titled release, largely due to a change in vocalists and the natural maturation of the band as a whole. They pushed themselves on this CD and it shows.

If you like aggressive music, take a minute and give these guys the chance they deserve. And if you can find it, Garage Demos is also definatly worth a listen.

But then you move on to song 4 and there is a woman singer in the middle, who is rather wrongly put there. She doesn't belong on that type of an album. Song 5 is not horrible. Then you go through the rest of the album and the songs are a bit off-beat and don't seem as they were written at the same time as the beginning of the album. Overall a good choice for anyone who likes rap-core, but I suggest their first CD for any hardcore fans...GREAT ALBUM...

4.0 out of 5 stars for folks who like heavy music of all genres, May 2, 2005
These guys rocked back in the day. Good live show and both of there releases have that high energy vibe that makes you wanna go see the band. For those of you sulking that they are no more, look out for NEEDLEMOUTH, Dennis' new band out of Hunington Beach. A little more industrial which is what I liked about 20 Dead. THe only place I could find them is on MySpace.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh hell yeah!, December 9, 2004

Yeah, I know these guys broke up some time ago, but I still like the damn album so I'm going to review it.

It's tough categorizing 20 Dead, and really, it's not that big of a deal, until you try and describe it to someone else. Usually I use the words "Loud. Intense." and then I stop and kinda shrug. So there's metal, rock, industrial, hip hop and even techno influences through it all. Draw your own conclusions.

It's all great. Vocals? Great. Guitars? Great. Bass? Great. Drums? F%#$ing awesome. Anything else? Yeah, that's all great too. Just buy people.

This cd is truely a classic and everyone who listens to alternative or nu-metal should purchase this 20 dead Flower Children album. Even thou they aren't together anymore, CTGT and they first self titled album will live on forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Whoa!, February 27, 2001

I had heard of 20 Dead Flower Children a couple of years ago, but never knew anything about them except they were a music group. I didn't even know what genre they were. So anyway, I went to school and my friend reccommended 20 Dead Flower Children's Candy, Toy Guns, and Television. I got it and I was completely blown away. This band now rates second on my favorite metal bands. That is next to Soulfly. I use to like Slipknot, but I'm getting impatient waiting for the new CD. Any back to 20 Dead Flower Children. They are VERY heavy and if you pay attention to the lyrics they are hilarious. This band/CD is excellent. Definitely recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT CD!, May 3, 1999
This review is from: Candy Toy Guns & Television (Audio CD)
This is an EXCELLENT CD. Song 4 is the only song on the album that I don't entirely like. Every other song is AWESOME. It is a great mix of rap-core and some techno. If you like hardcore music and have an open mind you will love this album.
