2009 collaborative effort from Harold Budd and Clive Wright. Candylion contrasts previous work, A Songs for Lost Blossoms, in that it is more thoughtful and structured. Still, it constantly surprises the listener with a fresh collage of aural landscapes and moods. Sometimes it evokes the feeling of a traditional Japanese piece, or the mood of a gentile '60s, British film, or a Renaissance cathedral with cloisters reverberating a choral ensemble. Harold Budd and Clive Wright have again struck gold with this new project. This dream pop CD is filled with the beauty and mimimalist music that I have come to expect from Budd over his illustrious career, and punctuated with the emerging talents of Clive Wright. I want more from both of these artists as solo performers , as well as a duo. Budd has become prolific since anouncing his retirement four years ago. I wish he/they would tour. A great gift for the ambient music lover, as this is another music wonder by Budd and Wright.

..... I learned from Mr. Harold Budd .... since the times of good old vinyl records .... with multi-instrumentalist GIGANTIC master : Sir. Brian Eno ....in few words : two genuine artists .... which excellent collaboration back in the 70's captured my interest and since then is one of my best and prefered collaborator with Eno .... for us back here in Latin America ..is very ...very...hard to find these kind of albums on local stores ..so thanks to AMAZON.COM... we (myself) are lucky to find undeniable good musicianship..... very recommended

I believe that time will reveal this album to be a Classic in the ambient music genre,
In many ways it is unique. It is an extremely varied palette that the artists have created. Candylion is an odd bird in as much as it grows more interesting and evocative as the album progresses
