Don't buy this bed!!!,
By A Customer
First of all, let me say that I have bought this bed 4 times because my dogs LOVE it. The concept -- a bed that always stays nice and cool but is soft and supporting to the dog's body -- is a wonderful thing. What fails is the execution. My first 3 beds all ended up the same way... they LEAKED all over my beautiful hardwood bedroom floors. The 4th bed is a replacement and I'm scared to set it up, so it just sits in its box. What a waste! The longest-lived bed lasted almost 5 months before it let go. The beds are fairly puncture-proof, so a dog's nails digging into them is not what's wrong. Each time my beds leaked, it was from a seam. The seams are obviously not welded properly, and they just let go. Every time the dog lies on the bed, some water seeps or is squeezed out onto the floor underneath the bed. My floorboards have lifted up slightly where all the moisture was trapped. Entirely unacceptable! The company seems to make a big deal about how they take quality control seriously; well, I just don't see it. They WILL make good on their guarantee though and send you out a replacement bed after you jump through their hoops (you have to cut off the damaged part and the serial number and send that with the claim form). This does you no good because, in my case, my replacement beds eventually leaked also. I'm giving this product a rating of *1* because, like I said, the dogs really do love this bed. I would love it too, IF I had one that lasted for more than 6 months. Great idea... TERRIBLE execution!

It's only getting one star because there isn't a "zero" star rating.,
By SammyMom (CO) - See all my reviews Each time, the seams failed -- my dogs did not claw them or chew on them or damage them in any way. At first, the company was very responsive and very good about replacing them at no charge, including no shipping -- otherwise, I certainly wouldn't have kept getting more of them (no matter how much my two Samoyeds loved them). At first I thought it must have been something I was doing wrong with using and maintaing the cooler beds, but then I found reviews by other purchasers and I know now that it's simply a defective product. I got the same explanation that other reviewers got -- that it was because I moved the beds around too much. I knew that wasn't the cause: one was always in an oversized crate and never moved; the other was always on carpet, and I only slid that one out of the way when I vacuumed. Then they said I must have stepped on it myself too much, which I didn't. Besides, on the company's website, they showed a full-sized pickup truck driving over it. Even if I did walk all over it (which, according to the instructions, you HAVE to do to "activate" the foam core!), I certainly don't weigh as much as a full-sized pickup. Around the time I filed a replacement claim for Bed #8 (yes, it was getting beyond frustrating by this time, but my dogs really loved these beds), the company told me they'd changed their technology on how the seams were manufactured, but the latest one that failed (just this evening, as a matter of fact) was one of the newer ones. Now that they've changed their replacement policy and raised the prices, I'm not even going to try to replace the latest one that broke. I give up. And I'm sure it's only a matter of time before my last surviving one fails, too. Good riddance. The sad thing is, it's a great product for as long as it lasts, but it certainly doesn't last long enough to get your money's worth. Both my dogs love them, and I'm not sure how they're going to adjust to not having them anymore. I think the company needs to take them off the market until they can manufacture a reliable product. This is absurd.

Leaks!!!!,
Dog loved the bed, but...: First bed leaked within the first year. Broke at seams. Second bed leaked within 2 months of use. Broke at seam again. Permanently damaged our hardwood floor (water pooled underneath bed where it could not be seen).
Don't buy it!
