Cannabible 2 Rocks!,
By Lucas (Spain) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Cannabible 2 (Paperback)
When I first received this book I was very impressed by the cover. Once you hold it in your hand you will understand. The printing process used on the front cover has a glossy photo on a matte background, and this creates a beautiful interplay of light on the cover image. The back cover also amazed me, as there are extremely high quality photos of unusually well grown buds. The microphotography throughout the book is exceptionally clear, and Throughout the book there are anectdotes and references to people The scope of the genetics covered in Cannabible 2 is not only broad I own cannabis cultivation books all the way back to 1977, and I can Lucas

The scriptures of Pot,
By
This review is from: The Cannabible 2 (Paperback)
The author is a marijuana enthusiast and great photographer. In this, the second Cannabible, he continues his quest to document the world's various marijuana strains in a humorous text enhanced by his acclaimed microscopic photography. He writes engagingly on all aspects of the plant, from leaves to buds, and lists his favorite types whilst providing information on the use of this botanical for various purposes, including stimulating creativity. He also described the effects, aromas and tastes of about 200 varieties. In addition, he investigates the smoking paraphernalia, medical uses of the plant, the tolerance factor and even the connection between chocolate and marijuana. The information is very thorough and detailed, making this book a valuable reference guide to the cultivator and user of this substance. The Cannabible 2 is a most impressive read and the photographs are beautiful. The book will appeal to marijuana afficionados and all those interested in psycho-active botanicals.

Sprung!,
By Manuel Grinage (Oakland, Ca. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Cannabible 2 (Paperback)
What I love most about this book is the perfect marriage between the photography and the printing . King obviously knows his lenses - he uses depth of field like a true artist. I don't know who did the color developing, but it is glorious. Kudos to Tenspeed press for spending the time and cash to do it right.

Great book for it's purpose,

I just picked up this book in hard cover. I scanned through most all the pictures and read through quite a bit of it and so far, I think it's a superb book for it's genre. I agree with other reviewers that it does not really provide useful information for a grower and is limited in examination of strains, but there is a lot of information on available stabilized strains on the internet and a plethora of grow books available. I am glad that Jason King has covered common, rare and unobtainable strains with excellent photography and has added a very personal touch through his stories with cannabis connoisseurs worldwide and medicinal users here in California. There is not a better 'coffee' table book out there.

Product arrived quickly & in good condition. This book is not as techinically in depth as some others out there, such as ones more into growing & botany, but a great reference nonetheless for those that like pictures & brief concise descriptions.

Jason King does an excellent job photographing and documenting his pursuit for rare and potent:) cannabis. The photos are bright and vivid, innovative with the micro photographs as well-a technique he apparently pioneered. The articles themselves are well researched and full of fun information and tips. Highly recommended!
