This lens was offered on Amazon.com from Cameta Camera for less than $1000.00. That included shipping and a kit that was included in the deal. The only thing that you don't get is the original box that this lens would usually come in. Other than that the lens is as advertised, brand new with out the brand new price.

The kit includes a cap keeper, Hoya UV filter, a lens cleaning kit. Just the price of the lens and the UV filter without this deal was well over $1000.00!

So I think I got a pretty good deal on a outstanding lens. I'm still getting used to it. So far, It seem really sharp and the IS works as advertised. I highly reccomment this lens with or without the deal.

When I was searching to buy this 24-105 lens I doubt to buy this kind of kit because the lens could not be brand new.
But when I received the package I saw that it is brand new and the only difference is it is packed with a white box instead of the original box.

It was the right choice!
Lens price was about the same when I bought this kit.
I received the original box for the lens, plus the rest of the things. I had my doubts as I was wondering why this kit had a cheaper price than the lens itself, but after thinking about it, I went for it, I do not regret this!

I received the package today from UPS. It was very well packed with bubble wraps so the items were well protected. The lens came in a big white box with a lens hood,a leather pouch and a Canon warranty card. They were brand new and unopened. Other items were as described. One word of caution about the cleaning kit...the cloths were full of lint. I used them to wipe the filter with and the filter was contaminated with all kinds of lint. I was so glad I didn't wipe the lens with them. It took me more than 10 minutes to get rid of them lints. The brush and the hurricane blower were fine.

The 77mm filter looks a bit flimsy but works just fine. This filter costs about $45 if sold separately so it's quite a good deal. I'm quite happy with it.

I was going to buy a 24-105 IS USM lens for my new 60D and was looking on here for a cheap one. I don't know why people buy the one that is $100 more expensive instead of this one. This lens DOES come with the lens hood, which was the only thing I was a little worried about. It is an incredible deal, comes with extras, and is $100 cheaper. If you are considering getting a 24-105 IS USM, definitely buy this one.

I love this kit! The price is just right with the quality L lens, the UV filter, the original accessories, and other addons!
The product is delivered to me in 3 business days although I used standard ground shipping. I have to say, great packaging by CC. The only thing that you won't get from this is the original box that comes with the lens+5M2. I have a white box packed inside another big brown box for added protection.

The lens is brand new for sure. Build quality, optic quality is what you expect from L lens. This is my first L lens and I know from now on I will buy and use a lens that ONLY got a " L " on it! Ohnos, the L-addiction :P

All in all, I recommend this lens to those who loves photography!
Also, I recommend buying this lens, or the kit from CC. Their service is fast and accurate. They responded my question emails fast. My shipment was in 2-days after ordering, and, like I said, I used standard 5-7days shipping but lens arrived in 3 business days! I'm a happy customer.

Got the lens, and it has been taking magnificent pictures on my T2i. Sharp as a tack, and the filter is pretty good (not a B+W, but who's counting?). The filter would cost $40-$50 separately, and since I'm the type of guy who isn't afraid to put another piece of glass in front of my lens for protection (the hood just isn't as convenient), this was the best deal out there.

I still haven't opened the included "accessory kit," which was pretty much just a bonus that I didn't factor into my purchase. I'll probably only use the squeeze blower.
