Canon EF 24-105mm f4.L IS USM Refurbished

The EF 24-105L is the workhorse of the standard zoom range for Canon. A pro-level lens that covers the range of almost every "kit" lens, the 24-105 is tack-sharp, crisp, a jewel of a lens. Having been through several consumer level lenses in a search for something as sharp as the 21-105, I finally broke down, sold two other lenses and sprung for the L series. Not a single regret. The lens is heavier than kit lenses of the same range, but this reflects the quality of the glass. I know that a lense won't make me a better photographer, but having this lense makes me more aware of what is in the viewfinder, helps me to slow down, squeeze carefully and have a much higher rate of good shots. If you're thinking in this direction, I recommend that you take the leap and go for it. I also suggest that you consider a refurbished lens. Buying off the shelf may get a longer warantee, but there is no guarantee that your particular lens was individually inspected. A refurbished lens will have been throroughly inspected for accuracy and defects.
