The Canon BJC 3000 color bubble jet printer is an inexpensive and lightweight compact printer that also provides fast, professional-quality desktop printing. You can print crisp text and true colors on photo paper, transparencies, A4, legal, and more. With its sleek design and built-in USB and parallel ports (both Macintosh- and PC-compatible), the BJC 3000 is a fine companion for your desktop or laptop computer.

Documents print with a keen 1,440 x 720 dpi resolution at six pages per minute for black and four pages per minute for color, rates supported by a 100-sheet paper feed for continuous printing. The printer handles all business stationary and envelopes, plus photo paper, glossies, and transparencies, for all of your graphic needs. There is also a reassuring optical sensor that sends you a message when ink is running low. The Canon BJC weighs in at just 12 pounds, light enough that you'll be tempted to think of it as a portable printer.

Setup and installation are smooth and easy with the Canon Quick Start Guide, though the ink cartridge does require several steps because each color tank is installed separately. An online user's reference is also available if you need further assistance. The BJC 3000 comes with an AC power adapter, color and black ink cartridges, and a Canon Creative CD-ROM. Canon offers a one-year limited warranty on parts and labor for the Canon BJC 3000, and a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week toll-free customer technical support line.

This printer is awesome. ive been looking into canons "Drop Modulation" technology vs HP's PhotoRet III and Canons 'DM' has a much better take on things. They can do with 720x360 what it takes HP 1200+ dpi to do. The unit is fast at up to 9 pages per minute and can handle business black text documents with perfection. The 4 cartridge system is a no brainer (saves me tons of money) and the print quality really is revolutionary at this price. (or any price really) I'd buy one before you spent lots of money on HP's PhotoRet II which now i see is really over rated...

This printer will cost you more in ink cartridges than it is worth. The cartridge ($50.00) that holds the ink tanks go out every few tanks of ink. Canon claims these will last for 20 tanks. Not true. I have bought 2 cartridges that have only lasted for 3 tanks each. The tech support is worthless.

I bought this printer under the impression it was good for printing pictures. Boy was I wrong!! B&W quality is fine, but color comes out horrible!!!
