The Canon ET54 Lens Hood is sitting pretty on my Canon 80-200mm lens.
It truly makes a difference. And it's a quality item. It helps with glare. It helps keeping moister and fingers off the lens/glass. And it actually makes the lens look more aggressive.
Snap Caps and filters work well with the lens hood on as well.

There is nothing to say about this product. Canon's lens hoods from the begining have been of great design. They do the job, they protect the lens, you can reverse them for storage and protection, they don't interfere, or add distance to filters. Canon has the only lens hood system that makes any sense at all.

Nice addition to the lens, however I really haven't used it much. It does help when you are using the manual focus and since I take a lot of shots from my 13th floor office window I can just place it right up against the glass no need for a tripod.

I ordered this by mistake. Note... it is for the 55-200 lens, NOT 55-250is lens. My mistake for not reading the numbers more carefully. Thanks to Amazon's excellent return policy I returned it, paying only for return shipping, no other penalty. So my 5* rating is based on the quality it appeared to have. It's made of a flexible plastic, but because it bears the Canon name seems overpriced.
