This ink is fine for very basic printing needs; it's economical. Just don't get it wet, or try to use an overliner on it (sorry students and researchers)!!! My 8-year old Canon BJ-200e (which uses the BC-02 Black cartridge) is far superior in terms of water resistance! You would think that after 8 years, Canon would improve their product, not make it worse! I wish all printer makers would go with Pigment Black Ink that is very water resistant.

Good ink. I have tried other inks that are available and many of these have dried out or damaged my printer head. Right now this is my prefered black ink for canon. Why on five stars? COST it is about twice the cost of other black inks. But a Good ink.

On the color side I have found that almost any color ink is OK... Does not dry out. I have a Canon MP 360.

I use Canon MP360 printer-scanner and I use this inkjet tank in it. Well, what I can say about this. It is quite small tank but the quality of it is great. The ink lasts about 200-250 copies and it is easy to put to MP360. Highly recommended. I guess they could have done a little bit bigger...if you use as a private use, this is for you but if you need many copies...hundreds or thousands...I recommend other printer and other inkjet tanks.

The Staples store has this deal where you get $3 off an ink purchase for every ink cartridge you give them. I was able to get this black BCI-24 for $4.63 including tax at Staples with this deal. So, if there is a Staples store nearby, you might get the best price there.

This ink runs out rather quickly, even when using economy printing, so have extra tanks at hand.

This is good cheap ink, but beware that Amazon does not offer free super-saver shipping for it. They will ship the color cartridge for free (if your order is over $25), but the black for some reason does not qualify. It will nearly double the cost of the ink tank.

Basic, inexpensive and gets the job done. I have two printers and this is the default. It helps when wrting papers and cheap enough to have a backup cartridge laying about vs. my other printer where they are almost 10 times more costly.

I also had an older Canon printer which used the BC-02 cartridges and upgraded to a newer Canon S300 printer last year which uses the BCI-24 cartridge and noticed the water resistant difference. The BC-02 ink seemed to be a higher quality as I don't recall my children smudging school printouts near as much as they do with the BCI-24. This is unfortunate but it's a cheap printer..bound to have lower quality ink I suppose.

I'll admit that printer cartridges are my go-to item to use as "filler" when I'm buying a book or something and need to "fill" to get free shipping.

These cartridges work fine, just as expected, easy to change, etc. I just wish they were cheaper!

Very low cost Canon ink which, unfortunately, not continued with their newer printers. But this is typical of the industry. What I would like to report on is the excellent values and service that Amazon provides. They are "untypical" of the industry.

This is a good basic printer, nothing flashy but VERY cheap. I was surprised by the quality for the price. HOWEVER, I was also dismayed by how quickly I ran thru the first black ink cartridge. (Less than 100 pages I believe). As another reviewer points out the replacement cartridges are comparatively inexpensive, but I'm old enough to remember getting a whole year of typing out of one Selectric ribbon...anyway, great basic printer if you're on a tight budget, for students, or as a backup.
