Not that we have much choice. You buy the cartridge for the printer from the Mfg, period. Just choose the seller with the best price and service. Have been buying these two packs from you for years (and the printer!). Not the current purchase but the previous purchase, we noted that the clip on the side of the cartridge was broken, disabling it's ability to function in the printer. Calling Amazon Customer Service, we were quickly credited appropriately. No Problem, thank you.

I bought these from Ink Express (R S I Inc.)here on amazon. They appear to be OEM canon cartridges but they are not in a blister pack as illustrated on amazon, just 2 cartridges in a little plain brown box with an Ink Express label. Each cartridge has its plastic wrapper intact. I installed the first one in my printer. Hopefully it will be fine.

I only use genuine canon cartridges so I would feel better if they came in the canon blister pack as shown on amazon but I decided not to return them. I see that today they are being offered by another seller and Ink Express does not have any more for sale. It makes me wonder where these come from or how long they have been sitting around.

I had picked up another canon cartridge from a well-known online auction site and it had very old canon labeling. I contacted canon and they said the cartridges do not become outdated and it was safe to use. However it lasted a lot shorter than my ink tanks usually do. Just a few words to the wise.

after trying replacement ink from china from ink resellers.. i had a lot of problems with the nozzel clogging up etc. Bought the original and the printer is working fine again.

The Canon ink cartridges were not in the factory pack as illustrated in your ad , but were sent in a cardboard box, loose with no Canon literature and certainly no blister pack. Both ink cartridges were as if they had been removed from Canon's normal blister-pak.

I purchased this item from RSI Ink/Ink Express, fulfilled through Amazon, at the lowest price I could find anywhere for genuine Canon brand. Item arrived quickly. I was suspect at first because the cartridges were not in Canon packaging as pictured, but rather in a small brown box. But inside the box were two original Canon bci-3eBK cartridges in the original factory cellophane wrapping. Perhaps this vendor buys them in bulk and repackages them. In any case, the cartridge works fine. I would order them again.

The Canon IP-4000R ink cartridges are straightforward to install and give great performance. I replace them when the printer warns they are getting low, and as a result I haven't had to deal with streaky or discolored prints. What's nice about the cartridges is that they have a sponge next to the tank through which the ink flows, and so that even after the printer detects that the tank is empty, there's enough ink in the sponge to keep going for awhile until the next one can be ordered.

The fact that all of the colors can be ordered independently, rather than buying a single "color cartridge" means that you know you're not wasting ink, being forced to discard partially full tanks. I had thought this might also mean that some tanks would naturally last longer than others. However, for whatever reason, I find that I have to replace all of the tanks within a couple of weeks of each other anyhow -- normal printing seems to use up the ink fairly evenly.

Brand matters, too. I have used non-Canon replacements before, as they were cheaper, but they had a tendency to drip ink and be messy during install. I managed to find some original Canon cartridges at an extremely low clearance price through one of Amazon's partners here, and so I have recently been able to get the brand-name cartridges at even less than generic price. Keep an eye out for these sales and stock up -- the ink is rather expensive otherwise, which is the only reason I'm not giving it all five stars.

Many stores don't stock all the types of Canon printer cartridges. Hop on your computer and order what you want, with an attractive price, and avoid driving all over town looking for your cartridge. Sometimes the postage seems to cost more then simply going to the store. Many times, you just don't want to take the time to drive around, using up gasoline and time. So, you go here to amazon.com

This is the fastest, easiest way to by ink. Don't go for the knock off procucts.

I am always wary of ordering ink for my printer online. According to reviews, what is shown is not always what is received. These were factory sealed exactly as shown in the picture, original Canon. Very happy.

Product appears to be about 5 years old. This may or may not be an issue in that, for some reason, Canon used to feel the need to date their inks. Have not yet used to ink to determine its quality.
