Canon NiMH Battery NB4-200 for Powershot Digital Cameras

Don't waste your money on these Canon batteries. They're rated for only 2100 mAH (milliAmp Hours).

J&R Music carries the Power 2000 NiMH AA batteries (part# XP4AA-27). These are rated at 2700 mAH, and they're priced about 40% less. It takes a LOT of photo shooting to tire out those babies. I STRONGLY recommend them for digital cameras.

I purchased a set of these batteries for a trip down the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon after calling Canon to verify they would work in my Canon CB-3AH charger. Fortunately I had my original batteries. These batteries were duds. I was going to swap them out in the camera half way through the trip and they did not work - I charged them prior to leaving. I tried charging them when I returned 6 hours later after reinserting in the camera I got a message stating change the batteries and then the camera powered down. What is worse - when I contacted Canon they stated batteries and accessories have no warranty. I complained to Amozon and received no response.

I trust Canon products, always have. I bought these very pricey batteries for my newly purchased Canon S2 IS camera. I put 'em in, no charge. Ok, charged 'em up, put 'em in, they were good for about 5 pictures. Recharged them, they were good for about 4 pictures. I'm charging them a third time...guess we'll see, but so far standard-issue, CHEAP AA batteries are lasting far far longer. I'm sure I got a bad batch, but nonetheless, I paid $$ for a BAD batch of batteries...

You cannot interchange the batteries between the CBK-3AH and CBK-400 chargers. If you are looking for just an extra set batteries, the newer 2100mA batteries WILL NOT work in the older 3AH charger!

I bought this along with the charger with batteries so when the batteries in the charger went dead that I would have a spare set. They do take 4 hours to charge. In the Canon manual on the inside front cover it states that you must have Canon batteries because if there is a repair due to a battery exploding or leaking they will fix the camera but you will have to pay. But if you have a Canon batteries and it is still under warranty they will pay.

These batteries are great. They last much longer than even the non-rechargable batteries that are designed for electronic devices. Goes well with the Cannon battery charger.

I've bought 5 sets of 4 batteries for my sons digital photography business. ( www.realtourservices.com ) and we discovered that we can use these batteries 50% longer than any other set when we are taking pictures with flash. Very impressive quality.

I held judgement until we actually used these rechargable batteries for a while. They work at least as well as expected in my Canon digital camera since I heard this camera eats batteries, which it does. They charged fast and provided plenty of shots.

I used it with my Canon digital camera and it looks like it will never has to be recharge again !! A good buy.

Having worried slightly about battery incompatibility with my CBK4-200 charger and these batteries, these are in fact exactly the same type as ship with that charger. Each battery is marked as "NB-2AH" on its casing, as is specified in the documentation for the charger. Why Canon felt the need to put an entirely different code number on the packaging, I don't know, but there you have it.
While I can't comment on whether these batteries are superior to any other type, they do the job, and the battery life does seem to be very long. I don't have anything to compare to, but if like me you're the sort of person who wants to play it safe, these batteries have a long life and have performed well in my A95 digital camera.
