Historically, we have had poor results when using generic inks. Typically the ink nozzels clog because we infrequently do any printing. Using factory branded inks we have never had this problem with extended use. As a result, we spend about 2/3 the cost of a brand new printer to purchase the branded inks. Thankfully, we do not need to print too often so staying with the branded inks makes more sense for us to extend the life of the printer.

While I'm sure this ink would have pleased Gutenburg, the price would have made him take a hammer to our inkjet and return to his press. Keep an eye on the price per milliter between the XL and standard cartridges. Currently the XL is priced at .81¢ per ml, and the standard is .79¢ per ml, so at these rates it is less expensive to purchase the standard cartridge. To calculate the price per ml, simply divided the total cost by the ml per cartridge, 15 ml for standard, and 22 ml for XL.

Having to buy ink is a pain, right? But this one works fine in my MG6300 when it needs the specialty GREY. The other color tanks need quicker replacement in my unit than this one.

This is the real Mc Coy, forget compatible products as they tend to clog your printer, excellent product!! Highly recommend buying Canon products, especially ink cartridges!!

Funny thing about this purchase. I am temporarily incapacitated and while I was with my wife we stopped at a Best Buy store and I asked her to run in and buy two of these. Would you believe that a big outfit like Best Buy only had one in stock. I was able to purchase just the single cartridge from you. I started off by saying "Funny thing" and the funny thing is that I will never again go into a Best Buy for ink cartridges or any accessory as long as I now know that I can purchase this from you right from my chair.

This cartridge did not come in the pack I purchased in a store. I had to order this one individually, it did the job it was suppose to do :)

I have a Canon Printer and have found it easy to uninstall the used cartridge and install the new ink cartridge. I have yet to get ink on my hands with the exception of one time installing a Magenta color. 1. I pull the black cellophane wrapper down and off first, 2. I then pull the cellophane that is wrapped around the cartridge off. 3. I then pull one side of the orange cover that's over where the ink comes out away from the cartridge and lift off the orange cover being careful and slow not to let the ink spill out. I do all this after I have removed the used cartridge so that I can slide the new cartridge in place. I have learned to do this through trial and error over the years and this method seems to work good on the Canon Printer. I hope this helps.

I have used Canon printers for 15 years and the quality of this printer is still top notch. But it sucks down this ink like I have never seen before. I am going to step up to the XL cartriges and see if that helps.

It was so easy to get the ink for my printer. I am definitely hooked on buying my ink from Canon in the future. It arrived in great condition and earlier than they promised.

The XL cartridges are more practical and environmentally friendly. Frankly, these should not even be on the market.
