I had researched this camera extensively before buying it, but was torn between the various packages available. This one includes the standard Canon lens (very nice), memory card, cleaning cloth, extra battery, battery charger, data cables, case, and Tamron telephoto/macro lens. I'm very pleased with the camera. The case is something you will probably want to replace because the closures are not secure and can't be made secure. There's a risk of the top opening and dumping your hardware. The Tamron lens is ok... very nice for the price... but don't consider it to be comparable to more expensive lenses. It does not have the image stabilizer and it has some issues accepting standard-size filters, like it is a half a millimeter off or something. Having said that, this lens is the reason I selected the package. It takes beautiful macro shots. You'll get nice telephoto shots too, but have that tripod handy.

The camera package was everything it claimed to be. I highly recommend it, but be aware the case is low-quality and the Tamron lens is great/better for some purposes, but not the same as the Canon telephoto lens that is out there.

IT ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!! Coolest Camera I've ever played with. I have had lots of other lower end digitals and they are all ok - but his one is the best yet. It has all the bells and whistles of the older 35mm that my photographer friends have and love. i've let a couple of them play with mine and they say it is the best digital for the money out there.

I just wanted to assure others that Cameta Camera did send me the camera on time as promised.

It's a good camera, the Canon Lens is quality, and (as far as I'm concerned) the "cheaper" Tamron Lens is very nice.

The bag, extra battery, memory card, card reader, make it a good deal, especially when you figure you get all of it for what you'd pay for just the camera and standard lens at a store like Best Buy.

I had point & shoots cameras all my life, this is my first DSLR and I'm very happy with it. This camera takes amazing shots. This package deal is perfect for the price but I would recommend buying one that includes an image stabilizer telephoto lens.

Awesome package.Camara very easy to use, some features you need to adjust with the help of someone who knows photography, but for the most part you should figure out yourself. Very excited and delighted to have spent the money on this item.

I just bought the camera and it's everything that I expected it to be. I didn't have any problem with filter fit for the Tamron lense like I had read. But I did have a problem with the camera case. It's a cheap piece of junk. The fasteners are made of very cheap plastic and one of them broke the 2nd time that I opened it. I had already planned on buying a new one before I ordered this kit because it had recieved bad reviews. And they were right. I have a camera case that is almost 15 years old with plastic closures and they are still in one piece. A much better quality of plastic was used for it.
I know that I will really enjoy this camera even though I've just started to play with it. The price was great and so was the service from Cameta.

This is my first DSLR and I love it. I have compared my pictures with another more advanced cameras and I can tell this camera is really good for its price. Also, the warranty from Canon is excellent. I had a problem with one of the lens, and it was quickly repaired at no charge.
I recommend this camera for those who want to start on the DSLR world.

Love the Camera Bundle - Except the Camera Case.
It gave out after only one trip. The clasps on the front gave out and will Not stay clapsed.
The side ones stay shut, however they are not enough to keep the case together, with the camera & Lenses in there.

I would Not buy this camera case. If the company could fix those clasps another way, maybe they'd hold, but these clasp are Plastic and they Will break.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding to purchase this camera. Based on my research, I determined that the Canon Digital Rebel XSi would be an excellent way to get into SLR digital photography. After using the XSi for over a month and taking hundreds of pictures, I can say that purchasing this camera was a very good choice. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a quality digital SLR at a reasonable price. For overall value, I give the Canon Digital Rebel XSi 5 stars!

Being able to purchase all of this equipment in one package saved me time, money and research. Great starter set.
