The battery alone is approx 40-45 online, including amazon (which has free shipping/no tax -- which helps people in states like california).
The case alone is 20 on amazon. This set is 50 bux without tax or shipping ... a great deal if you were planning to buy both. If you weren't ... the case is a bonus! The battery is pretty straight forward. Anyone who has a SD200 or SD300 camera knows what the battery does and what the battery life is. Less is known about the case and the strap. The neck strap is pretty gaudy in my opinion. It isnt something I would use, but some might find it handy. I also think having a camera around your neck may cause your camera to get damaged (zippers, necklaces etc.. may scratch up the camera, swinging it around your neck may cause it to hit some hard and unforgiving surface) The leather case is a gem. It has some short comings but it's pretty close to perfection for my needs. This case fits the SD200 very well. When the sd200 is in the case, it becomes as thick as an s410 camera (by itself, without a case on). It is pretty stiff so it should protect it from scratches and even mild pressure applied to it. It has a magnetic buckle that snaps into place and snaps off easily. The material feels very good in the hand, and looks very classy. The top flap has a small hole where the wrist strap prong slips through. The back features a belt loop (not a clasp) for you to slide a belt through, or feed it through a strap (ie a messenger bag) although the latter would be a bad idea as the magnetic clasp on the flap isnt very strong, it could unbuckle pretty easily (as it is meant to do). the front of the camera is meant to face the front of the case (and the back faces the belt loop). that gives the lcd screen extra protection. it is the only way the sd200 fits in this case (as the strap pront faces the front). Along the sides, there seems to be a semi rigid insert .. top and bottom. probly plastic or cardboard, under the leather material. this helps prevent the buttons from being depressed, accidentally turning the camera on while in the case. Fantastic case, looks great, feels great, small. Downside ... no pocket for a spare battery. There is a tiny slit of a pocket in the case .. but it seems to be made for a spare SD card.

I got this for $49.99 (right before the price went up). At the time, it was like paying for a battery, which I needed, and then getting the case and strap for $5.00. What the heck, I gave it a try.
At the current price, I wouldn't recommend this. The case is a tight fit, and has a rough fabric lining. I'm already having problems with brassing on the metal and scratching of the LCD screen (I did later cover the screen with a stick-on Palm Pilot protector. That helped.) I put the camera in the case once, and decided that it would only contribute to wear as I put it in and pull it out. I'm much happier with a generic $10 case I found in a photo store. The strap, well, I doubt I'd use that, since the camera is too fragile to hang from your neck. I love my digital elph SD300, but the lense flaps are pretty flimsy and won't protect the glass if you bump into something.

I rate this item a 3 only because i've had the case and extra battery for well over a year. Probably longer than that. Is this a good buy? Well, maybe. It really does depend on what you want out of this set. For me, I just wanted the battery and the case. Strap I knew I wasn't going to use. My synopsis of the whole thing is below.
Neck Strap... If your moving around this thing is WAY to long or way to short. It's too short to strap across you chest. It's way to long because if it hangs in front of you, your precious camera you just paid a couple to a few hundred for is now freely bouncing around. NOT good. Final Decision (Neck Strap): use it for a jump drive that you use often or anything else. Just not your camera Battery... Uhhh, not much to say here. Spare battery that I use as a hot spare in case I really need it. 2 batteries seems to last most if not all day long even under HEAVY usage. This is true even today LONG after I originally got it. Final decision (Battery): WONDERFUL Case... I saved this for last. I'm now writing this review because of this case. I used it EVERYWHERE. I put it on my belt and I used it every day. Carried it around to work, on weekends, trips, etc. This thing is extremely handy and I loved it up until a month ago. I can honestly say, on average, i've pulled my camera out of this case and put it back in at least twice a day over the past year. A few months ago I started to notice a mark on my screen. I had NO idea what the heck was causing it. Despite my HEAVY usage of the case and camera, I knew it wasn't the metal clasp and I knew it wasnt' the edges of the case. One month or less ago I finally figured it out. There's stitching INSIDE the case on one of the sides. This WILL damage your camera LCD as it goes right across it. The stiching is to hold the bottom of the belt strap. IDIOTS ruined my camera (SD300)!! This case is STILL usable but you will have to be careful as to what direction you put the camera into it. So long as you form a habit of putting the camera in where the LCD display is facing forward, you will have no troubles. P.S. The magnetic clasp does NOT effect your flash memory (SD card) Final Decision (Case): This fits my camera perfectly and is very durable. I would definately say that this case should have been built a bit better but I still am happy with it. COMPLETE DECISION: I would definately buy this package again and I will buy Kit 2 for my mom's SD550 this christmas. BUT at least I now know to be VERY careful of the inside stiching on the cases I buy from now on. To the ninkapoop that was scratching his LCD on his camera up on the other surfaces, respect your stuff, it'll last longer. I really don't think any case would have worked for him. This one is fine with the exception of that stupid stiching. Sorry for ranting about it but I hope this helps some people.
