I have been waiting for ever for a really good slr that I could afford. I take mostly sports photos, little league, softball and the like. I want to catch the action and be able to take several in a row quickly. This camera does everything I could do on my really good slr. This is the camera I have wanted all my life! Especially since digital came out, this is what digital is suppose to be. but besides the camera this kit is great, a 300mm lens is expensive, but this one comes with it and it works and looks great. It is not too heavy, though I bought the kit that holds two batteries at once in the camera and that made it a little heavier. The kit comes with more then enough to learn and use. The bag is too small but I wanted to pick one out myself any way. This is well worth the money
