Great while it worked. Memory Card Error of Death after 2 years.,
This review is from: Canon Digital IXUS 400 - Digital camera - compact - 4.0 Mpix - optical zoom: 3 x - supported memory: CF (Electronics)
I loved this little camera. It took great photos, and was durable enough to go on many adventures with me. But after about two years, the thing started giving me Memory Card Errors. My memory cards were fine, but it would no longer let me take pictures.
I found a fix online that called for taking out the internal battery for a few seconds and replacing it. My camera was able to take pictures again, but drained fully charged batteries in minutes. Because of this flaw, I cannot recommend this camera. I have since replaced this camera with a Canon SD1000. I've had it for a year with no issues. It's thinner, less expensive, and has a large brilliant screen. Take a look at it instead.
