Cannon Elph Lt,
By "acbowe" (Salt Lake City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
This is the smallest aps camera that I could find anywhere around. At only 4.1 oz you can fit it almost into just about any pocket. It has all the features that most people want in a point and shoot for a super low price. For such a small and user friendly camera it has a variey of features such as the red eye reduction flash and the drop in loading. As an avid skier it is easy to carry and use on the slopes. It is a must buy!

Quality & Versatility,
By
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
I got the ELPH before heading to JazzFest in New Orleans a year and a half ago so I wouldn't have to lug my 35mm rig around. Turns out, it isn't just inexpensive -- it's also a heckuva point-and-shoot camera. I was surprised by the quality of photos it produced. Sharp, clean...usually well-balanced flash (although it has its moments). It has some limitations, but photo enthusiasts will be able to figure them out pretty quickly. I even found a couple settings that allow me to be creative in low light settings in nightclubs. It has become my everyday camera (football games, birthday parties, JazzFest), while my 35mm and medium-format are for more specific "shoot" purposes. So small it fits in a pocket; so light you forget you have it with you; so capable you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner.

MOMENTS MISSED F O R E V E R..............,
By Laura Goo (Hawaii) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
This camera is compact and versitile, however, I have missed alot of moments by getting more then half of my picture's 'smeared' OR 'blurred'. I just open the shutters, point and shoot! Some times it takes the picture right away and sometimes it takes a second or two before it reacts. By then, the picture has already changed! I've missed alot of precious moments of my birthing, my infant and my family due to the quality of this camera and delay of the shots! I dread using my camera because of my bad experience and dissapointment in the quality after developing my pictures (which are expensive and not worth it in the end)! I wish I could say better things about this camera, but I'm definately convinced that this camera is a LEMON!

Not a bad little toy,
By A Customer
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
I first received my Canon ELPH LT as a Christmas gift in 1999, and two and a half years later, it still takes the same quality of picture that it did on its first roll of film. In fact, it uses such little power (mostly due to the absence of a zoom lens) that in the time I have owned it, I have only replaced the battery twice. My camera has had an extremely rough existence, including three months in Africa, but it has never stopped working or needed any repair. And the panoramic lens took some awesome landscapes that my friends with expensive 35mm cameras couldn't take (and their cameras wouldn't fit in their pockets!). I have had only one problem with the camera, and that is that the print on the casing rubs off if your hands are often sweaty when you take pictures. It's not a huge problem given that by the time it had come off, I already knew what all the buttons did, but it would be nice to not have to explain them to other people. But other than that, it has been a perfect camera! Next up for me - the digital ELPH!

Great Little(and I mean Little) Camera,
By
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
So small you hardly know it's there...when I first used the camera, I was skeptical because of the size. Lo and behold, when I got the first roll developed, it was great. This is a great 2nd camera. You can take it anywhere and not miss a photo op.

Great camera at a great price,
By "corrina_j" (United States) - See all my reviews

This is the first real camera I've ever bought and I'm glad I made the investment. When shopping around for a camera, I was looking for a few main things. It had to be:1. Easy to use 2. Portable, not a hassle to lug around 3. in my price range (under $70) This camera is ,of course all three. I didn't know about APS cameras before i bought this camera. I've seen my mom struggle trying to put film in her 35mm and that made me want to stick with disposables and it also made me apprehensive about buying a camera. Then i found out about APS and it I was like Hallelujah! It was a godsend for a klutz like me. Just drop the film in and the camera does the rest.

For the price, for the size, hard to beat,

First used this camera at the Las Vegas CES show last month, all pictures came out perfect, including all the night scenes. I used the 400 speed film indoors and 200 speed film outdoors; had no problem with the flash by observing the maximum distances outlined by the guide. It's light to carry and simple to use. The only shortcomings are the tiny buttons to switch flash modes - I have to use my keys or toothpick to depress them. I got this camera from another retailer (Wxxxxxx) at a lesser price.

Tiny but not a toy,

This is a tiny camera (a good-sized guy could hide it in the palm of his hand.) But the small size doesn't mean the Elph is a toy. No, indeed. The sharpness on the pictures is amazing considering that the negatives are smaller than 35mm and that this is not an expensive piece of optical equipment. (We used to speculate that Canon made the optics better on APS cameras to showcase the APS format in the best light.) You can have some fun--one special feature is that you can take 3 different sizes of photos (regular sized, large sized and panorama sized) on the same roll of film. Switch a lever on the back and go from a portrait to capturing the beauty of a mountain vista or a busy plaza. For a "keep it in your pocket at all times" camera, this can't be beat.

Capable Little Snapshooter,
By A Customer
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
After years of lugging 35mm SLRs around (all now on the junkpile) and going through a string of disposables, I bought this little camera and have been very pleased with it. The APS format makes film handling idiot-proof. The photos are generally good; however, redeye can be a concern indoors. Also, I noticed that the camera has a relatively shallow depth of field, but I'm sure most low-cost cameras share this trait. I literally take this camera everywhere and use it often with a tiny plastic velcro-enhanced tripod that allows me to attach the camera to trekking poles, railings, fenceposts etc. The sheer portability and simplicity of this camera makes it a joy. I've caught photographs that others with their clumsy 35mm SLRs (no matter how automatic they are) couldn't hope to get. I heartily recommend it as an easy to use snapshooter, a second camera, or even for photography students looking to discipline their composition skills. Note: this inexpensive camera does not support APS mid-roll film changes, but heck, if that were really important, you could buy two cameras and they'd still fit in your pocket!

The Elph LT--A Small Camera for a Small Purse,
By Henry Tucker (South Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Canon ELPH LT APS Camera (Electronics)
The Elph LT is a great camera, and it is the cheapest of the Elph series. Being cheap comes with a price, though. The ElphLT comes with hardly any features. Mainly, it is missing a zoom. If you have a little more money, I'd recomend the Elph, Elph Jr., or Elph2. Otherwise, Elph LT is an OK camera.
