I bought this lens hood actually for my 16-35mm f/2.8L lens. For a crop body, 16mm is about the crop as 24mm on a full-frame body, that is why this lens hood is still OK on the 16mm lens on a 20D. I still need to do minor modification to make it fit to the 16-35mm f/2.8L. This lens hood block stray light much better than the original lens hood, which makes the photos better in color depth, contrast, and resolution. Highly recommended for 16-35mm /2.8L and 17-40mm /f4L if you use EOS 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D cameras.

I've bought this hood to replace the bulky hood of the 17-40mm f4 L for use on my 1.6x crop camera. Shape and quality is great. Flocking on the inside prevents stray light even more. But as every canon hood it's a fingerprint-magnet.
