The 2.7x zoom lens lets you take close-up images of your friends and family or any subject you want. The LT 270 comes with three print sizes, including panorama so you can capture large group shots or breathtaking landscapes. With the real-image viewfinder, you can switch between all three image sizes (C, H, and P) and know exactly how your image will be framed before you take the picture. You also get information on the camera's settings inside the viewfinder, including: object lens frame, close-up frame, AF frame, standard size mask (C size), panorama size mask (P size). A green "OK to shoot" and an orange "camera shake warning/flash ready" are visible on the LED indicators outside the viewfinder eyepiece.
For those times when you can't use flash photography, like at a concert or museum, you can turn the built-in flash off. The LT 270 also has a slow-sync flash mode that gives your nighttime images sharp foregrounds and gently glowing backgrounds, while the red-eye reduction feature helps eliminate the glowing red eyes flash photography can cause, giving your portraits a more natural look.
Canon's IX (information exchange) feature records the following: date, print aspect ratio, cartridge loading direction, subject brightness, title, magnification, artificial lighting, flash use, flash exposure, and print quality of each image. This information is recorded on the film using a single track, write-only magnetic recording head and is then transferred from the camera to the film. Your photo finisher then uses this information to give you the high-quality prints available.

Everyone loves Elves.,

This review is from: Canon Elph LT 270 Zoom APS Camera Kit (Electronics)
I have 2 of the Elph models and I must say I think they're the best APS cameras available. They are incredibly compact, very sturdily built and take wonderful pictures. The LT270 has some fine features, the best of which are the true-image viewfinder that allows you to see what your selected APS mode will actually encompass on the print (this may help you avoid the dreaded error of having selected the wrong APS setting and shooting an entire roll in panoramic), as well as a very smooth 2.7:1 zoom and a better than average flash unit. Whichever Elph you choose, you'll be pleased with it for years to come.

Great Compact APS Camera,
This review is from: Canon Elph LT 270 Zoom APS Camera Kit (Electronics)
This camera is a great compact camera. It has all the basic features of an expensive camera (e.g., zoom, red-eye, self-timer, etc...) and it fits in your pocket. I like the fact that I could just dump it in my pocket without remembering that it is there but having it when I need it.The only downside to this camera is that the really kool feature of mid-roll change is not available. Although Amazon says it has it in the spec description this camera does not support mid-roll change. If that is an important feature then you may consider the Elph 2 model.

Great APS Compact,
By A Customer
This review is from: Canon Elph LT 270 Zoom APS Camera Kit (Electronics)
The Elph Lt270/Ixus Z-65 doesn't give you the rock solid feel of the Elph II's stainless steel casing, but it has 2.7x zoom that outclasses Elph II's 2x. However its a little gem in both looks and feel in its own right. The viewfinder shows the different APS formats (C, H & P) and the flash capacity is above average compact flashes. You can even customize your Elph Lt270 via several custom functions like turning off the automatic rewind. As the flash pops up when the camera is switched on you have to be careful not to hold your fingers over the flash. This kit is a great value with everything included that you need to get started.
