Probably as good as a teleconverter can get, August 4, 2008
This review is from: Canon Extender EF 1.4x II - Converter - Canon EF - Non-US Grey Market (Electronics)
Obviously, you can't expect to include additional glass elements to a lens without any reduction in resulting image quality whatsoever. But after using this alongside another (3rd party) teleconverter, I feel that I can safely conclude that this is the best one on the market for Canon cameras.
I use this teleconverter in conjunction with an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM mounted on a Canon EOS 40D. The multiplier turns this lens into an effective 98-280mm f/4. Autofocus still operates beautifully, and the loss in image quality, especially when stopped down a little further, is almost unnoticeable. You'd really have to get in there to see any problems, and sometimes I can't even do it then.
I have added a couple of images taken with the extender, showing off some of its capabilities.
As a seller, B&H Photo and Video probably ranks #1 in my book in terms of honesty and customer service.
