Just OK,
This review is from: Canon FAXPHONE L120 Laser Fax / Printer (Office Product)
I've had my share of problems with the machine. The other reviewer was right about the ringer... it's loud to the point where the sharpness of the ring tone hurt my ears. I spent nearly an hour with Canon's tech support and while they gave the impression that they knew what they were talking about nothing they said seemed to work. I finally got passed the issue by just placing some tape over the speakers holes to muffle the sound.
Two other big issues to be aware of. I was not able to get the fax to work work on one of my VOIP lines. ( I believe it was Verizon's Fios. ) If I recall correctly, tech support said that the machine wasn't digital and as such did not support these newer, pure digital, optical transmission protocols. Terrific, obsolete right out of the gate. The L120 also does not have any Mac drivers or Mac support although it will work inside of Parallels. On the positive side the L120 scans documents for fax transmission fast which is nice, although it only transmits at 33k baud rate. It also prints 12 pages per minute though it seems faster. It also has a phone on the side which is convenient (although it would have been more convenient if Canon had decided to included both of the half inch clasps that side phone needs to stay properly mounted). I had high hopes for the L120 but in the end was very disappointed with it. Canon could have done better.

Not worthy,
This review is from: Canon FAXPHONE L120 Laser Fax / Printer (Office Product)
I had a multipass C555 that had worked for 13 years without a flaw. I just purchased the L120 because laser printing was crisp and neat. This machine is really hot, it almost toast the paper. The software does not allow you to fax from the PC or to keep track of your faxed work as older Cannon models do. It does not allow the any external phone to ring more than once before taking over with a silence mode ring. I wasted my time and money.

Ordered this as a gift for a new college graduate, to be used for printing and faxing resumes. When she received it, the menus were all in French. Updating driver software did not help. Selling company did not want to accept the return, and when they finally did authorize the return after three phone calls and a bunch of red tape, they would not pay for pick up. Read the different sellers' feedback before you choose a company to buy from!

Big improvement over my lexmark inkjet fax,

This review is from: Canon FAXPHONE L120 Laser Fax / Printer (Office Product)
I have owned this fax machine for about 6 months now. The main reason I got it was because my lexmark would take more than 1 sheet at a time when faxing and it drove me nuts. I also disliked changing that ink cart so often. I run a small home office and get purchase agreements faxed over about twice a week and so far Im still on the first toner cart.
Overall I am pleased with this fax machine. The only drawbacks are the lack of options like forcing it to send at a lower baud rate and some other techy settings that are available on older models.

Canon Fax Super G3,

Not a good choice in my opinion. The ringer is loud---even turned down to its lowest. I have to unplug it all the time for errors---per support person's advice. I wouldn't purchase this again.

Laser fax that does the job,

I got this machine a few weeks ago for my home office to replace a bigger Brother machine that we needed to relocate to our main office for heavy duty faxing. While it is not the most user-friendly broadcast setup, its faxing is fast, prints are clear and crisp, and general setup was a breeze. Only two weeks into the purchase, I have been very pleased with the Canon L120.
