I needed this to finally get my home movies off the mini dv tapes! This works. Made me the happiest mom! I got to see videos of my kids, that reminded me of how cute they once were! (you know before they started talking back and rolling their eyes... or at least when I still thought it was cute!)

This Product was an exact match for my CANON ZR40 Camcorder. You will have to buy a 4Pin Male - 4 Pin Male Firewire cable. I was able to interface with my DELL Inspiron Laptop (this has a 4 Pin firewire port)
