I have a Canon CP400 printer and this ink/paper works with it.
Also works with CP-200, CP-300, CP-220, CP-330 and CP500 printer. Amazon should update their description of this product.

All ready for those vacation snapshots,

This paper print set gives you glossy and smooth prints that look just like a photo you get from the lab. Since the process is dye-sublimination, you don't get those ink jet spots, and smearing that you get even from the finest photo printers. The cartridge is easily slipped into the printer, and the paper put in the paper tray. After three passes, yellow, red, blue, you get an extremely nice snapshot to pass out. I'm so glad that Amazon decided to carry this product, as I was worried after buying my CP100 that I would not be able to find the paper. It is not available at local electronics stores, and I live in the Bay Area, Silicon Valley California!

Great product!,

This comes highly recommended. However, print your most important pictures at the beginning of the cartridge, because as it runs down, the picture quality decreases.

Overpriced and Part Numbers Confusing,

The 36 pack is overpriced (~25% more) compared to the 108 packs, and I wanted the Credit Card size paper but got postcard backed 4x6" paper. The tiny, blurry pictures of these items on Amazon makes it easy to confuse the different paper sizes. Their photo for the 108IN is even wrong, showing the 108IP. Here's a complete list. Take a look and make sure you don't get your part number one little letter wrong.Canon currently offers seven ink and paper sets for Selphy: KP-108IN (4 x 6" paper, 108 sheets) KP-108IP (4 x 6" paper, 108 sheets, postcard back) KP-36IP (4 x 6" paper, 36 sheets, postcard back) <- You Are Here KC-36IP (Credit card size paper, 36 sheets) KC-18IF (Credit card size/full label, 18 sheets) KC-18IL (Credit card size/mini label, 18 sheets) KW-24IP (4 x 8" paper, 24 sheets) The KC-18IL has eight 1x0.75" labels per sheet The KC-36IP and KC-108IP have postcard backs. KP is for Postcard (4"x6") paper. KC is for credit card (2"x3") paper, and requires the PCC-CP300 Credit Card Size Paper Cassette. KW is for the Wide (4"x8") paper.

Works with the latest Selphy printers too,

I have the newest (at this time) Selphy CP800 in black Canon SELPHY CP800 Black Compact Photo Printer (4350B001) - this Selphy printer also is available in white - Canon SELPHY CP800 White Compact Photo Printer (4595B001) and this ink and paper package is perfect for it. The CP800's paper tray will hold 18 sheets at a time, this is already bundled in the correct amount - there are 2 cellophane packages that hold 18 each, plus the one cartridge that has enough ink for all 36 prints.
NOTE: These are the postcards - not plain on the back - it has a spot for a postage stamp and a division line to write your message on one side and the mailing address on the other, BUT they seem to be the same thickness as the regular photo paper and they are a great price.

Postcards from the Edge,

You're on the trip of a lifetime and you promised to send postcards to your friends and relatives. Why not send scenic cards with you in them? Ask a traveling companion to snap a few photos of you. Hook up your digital camera to a portable canon printer and run off a few perfect postcards using the KP-36IP pack. Write "Wish you were here" on the left side and paste on a few stamps. Voila, personalized postcards from anywhere in the world.
Better yet, take a photo of someone you are traveling with and give them a postcard to send home. Talk about a great conversation starter!

First, I would like to note that this product is also compatible with the Canon CP-200, CP-300, CP-220, CP-330, CP400, and CP500 printers. I just received the Canon Selphy CP400 printer as a gift and with this ink/paper set, it takes fantastic photos! I never get around to going to the drugstore or where ever to print out my digital photos, so this is great for me!

Paper is NOT blank on back side,
By GatorJim (Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Canon KP-36IP Paper Pack for Canon Printer (36 Sheets) (Office Product)
The description for this paper states "...blank on the back side, just like photos from your local print shop". THIS IS NOT TRUE. The back side is just like a post card with space for an address, etc. Canon apparantly does not make 4"x6" paper for the Selphy dye-sub printers with a blank back side. IMO, the postcard look is kind of tacky when giving prints to other people. Amazon needs to update their description to reflect this, and to include the other printers that can use this paper.
The quality of prints produced by the Selphy printers on this paper is very good and comparable with competitive products from Epson and HP.

Delivered quickly and at a great price. Impossible to buy locally - no longer stocked by Staples where we had purchased the Canon Selphy CP740 printer. Thank God for Amazon.com. Packaged well too so photopaper and ink weren't damaged in shipment. Great photos - better color and sharpness - than HP Photosmart 130 travel printer which the Selphy replaced.

I got the Canon CP400 printer a while back so I could make the occasional print to hand out (or put silly captions on "bad" Christmas party photos).
I don't know how the printer manages to keep the image aligned as the paper goes in and out 4 times (yellow, magenta, blue, and the clear coat) but when it drops it out, I have a pretty nice print, complete with address lines and a stamp outline on back (plus Canon logo of course) - suitable for mailing as a postcard. About 1/2" of each end gets removed after printing as it is used for traction of the rubber roller in the printer. I frequently print 3 shots vertically on a 4 x 6 card as sort of a mini proof sheet. I've also used the 4 x 8 size to print 2 side by side. Fun stuff. |
