I didn't buy this Canon MG2120 printer online but I bought it at Wal Mart for $38. Perhaps you can find this printer for the same price at your own local Wal Mart or Target. Anyhow, this is one of the cheapest printers you can get and it works really well. I only use it for everyday printing because I'm a student. I use it for printing out Power Point slides for my classes and it works fabulously. It's pretty silent when it prints too, compared to the noisy HP printer that recently broke down.

The overall quality of the printer is very good; better print quality on more types of paper compared to my old lexmark. The single digit LED display seemed a little outdated, but the software interface was clean and lean. The poor rating is due to the frustrating experience you will have when trying to replace the ink cartidges; they are impossible to find at brick-and-mortar stores. The cartriges that are currently stocked seem to be mostly for Cannon MP and MX series- consider those printers before buying this one.

This flatbed scanner-printer produces the most accurate, high-resolution images that I would want. I strongly favor Canon printers. It was very convenient to buy this printer from Amazon.

This printer was easy to set up. The quality of the print is good. The menu system in the computer desktop makes using all the features easy. Changing print cartridges is a snap

Canon screwed the customers again by making this printer so that it will not work unless BOTH print cartridges are installed (and being used) even when you are printing BLACK ONLY materials. This wastes your money by emptying the color cartridge while doing black only printing. Yes, they do use the colore ink while printing black only.

It works. It guzzles ink. The cartridges cost about as much as the printer itself. I have had this product for about a month now. It is not a good buy. Paper jams all the time. To be fair it is not a printer for you if you print more than a couple of pictures every once in a while.

I must say that I can only give 3 stars for this product. The reason being that is much slower to initiate printing than my Hewlett-Packard Photosmart that I had for many years, until I jammed it. Also I thought HP cartridges were much too high in price, but the cost of this Canon printer is exorbitant, for a color and black cartridge - $50.00. The printer only cost $63.00, and I use up the cartridge with all the printing I am doing in two months. $50.00 for cartridges every two months, I essentially re-purchasing the printer over and over. Not worth it all. I need to purchase another HP printer or some other brand-name and research the cost of the cartridges FIRST.

This printer met my expectations. It produces good quality copies, both in b&w and color, and it prints at a decent speed. Just make sure to also purchase a USB cord to connect it to the computer, as the standard package does not include on.

After reading all the good and bad reviews I decided that for $29.00 it was definitely worth a shot. I knew it didn't come with a USB cord after all the whining and fuss so many people made about it. But to me that was a no-brainer. Amazon, $2.69 including shipping. I ordered the cable at the same time as the printer so they both came the same day. I snapped the ink cartridges in place and it was ready to go. Running Windows 7 64 bit I decided to try and install the printer without the CD. I merely plugged in the cable and turned on the printer and Windows recognized it immediately and self-installed the needed drivers. 15 minutes out of the box and I was printing my first test page which worked flawlessly, no need to adjust the printing heads or anything else. Next I tried the copier. Couldn't be simpler, one button copying. Made a great copy in seconds. I took an old color Polaroid from a scrapbook and placed it on the scanner. Within seconds it produced an excellent color-correct scan on my laptop screen. Later that night I scanned in the other 94 photos from the album. I had read that Canon Plus Glossy II photo paper produced some of the very best results from this printer so I ordered a multi-size pack from Amazon when I ordered the printer and cable. I had some sharp colorful images I had gleened from the internet and I figured they would be a good test of the photo quality. I loaded in a 5x7 sheet and marked the settings for Vivid Photo. I knew this setting uses a little more ink but I wanted to see just how good a photo this printer was capable of. The photo that was soon in my hands was absolutely stunning. I couldn't believe this 29 dollar machine had just produced such a profesional looking photo. I made a few more and tried out the 8x10 sheets and was rewarded with the same results. The next day I showed the photos to several of my co-workers and everyone was blown away when I told them the photos were from my new $29.00 Canon printer. Every person assumed I had picked them up from a photo-shop. When the ink runs out I'm going to try out the refill kits that Amazon sells. I've read that they conform to the OEM standards, and refill your cartridges for a fraction of the cost of new ones. I'll give an update when that time comes. BTW: Anyone who get's this machine and has a problem with it right away, don't assume it's no good. Simply exchange it for another, and it's more than likely you'll get a good one the second time. You'll be glad you did.

OK, I don't print photos, I just wanted a scanner, printer, copier for a low price; simple to setup, use and actually worked. That's what I got. Come on, $38 at Walmart for such a tool that does so much and works great, how can I complain? If you want complaints, I could give you plenty about the HP that cost more and gave me a lot to complain about.

Great job, Canon.
