5.0 out of 5 stars ring light adapter 58mm, February 8, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Canon Macrolite Adapter 58C for Canon G2, G3, G5, G6 & Pro1 Digital Cameras (Electronics)
Works perfect, you can attach a UV filter and still mount your ring light on your 100mm macro. I also bought an extra one so I can quickly mount the MR-EX14 ring light on my 50mm f/1.4 ****DO NOT DO THAT****
Because of the way the 50mm f/1.4 focuses; the front of the lens moves in and out, the ring light is too heavy and will cause your lens to malfunction and will need to be sent to Canon for auto focus calibration.

It works well on the 17-85 IS with no vignetting, 28mm f/1.8 on a crop sensor with excellent results, and the 70-200 f/4.0. It works wonderfully for the macro lens too of course.
