Very disappointed in the "How-To" video. The speakers often breeze thru features and too often sound unsure as to the actual functions. Most importantly while they tell you what a menu function does, they often don't explain it's use in the real world. Another neg is that while explaining a menu function on screen they keep moving the menu up and down instead of staying on the funcion being explained. This makes it unclear what the reviewer is pointing to.

The menu system lacks a lot. It's difficult to return directly to a feature you wish to see again. Part of that problem is a 2 disk set. The running time over all would have fit on a double layer single DVD making the menu system a bit better.

Overall, it looks like a production rushed onto DVD without having a review of the content. It's almost amateurish. Additionally, it's way over priced for the content. Two stars for the content covered, one star for the production quality and overall usefulness of the DVD set.

I have found this two disc video useful but confusing. It needs a much more detailed menu system so you can go back to particular section you want to review. Also, it should be a little slower, some of the presenters move too fast. This is a very complex camera with lots of features and options, sometimes when you turn on one thing you may eliminate another, or so it seems. So you need to go slower.

I would not recommend this to another buyer.

After paying more the $3000 for my first DSLR, I am happy Elite created this video to help me get a huge jumpstart on my new 5D Mark II. Most of the video is specific to the features on the Mark II, there are some generic and dated chapters on general photograph tips (only reason I did not give a 5 star). "Made Easy" is the correct title, the instructor do not talk over your head and this is really targeted at the right market.

This is a very good video on how to use the Canon 5D Mark II. It explains all the menus, settings, etc., and tells you how to get the most out of your camera. I wish it had a few more details on some topics like autofocus microadjustment (lens specific), but overall it's an excellent instructional DVD.

This is an excellent instruction DVD. It is well presented, simple enough for the beginning user but also has detail that the more advanced user would appreciate. This is an excellent buy.

Upgraded from a 10D and I must say that this DVD set was worth it. It helped me navigate thru 5D Mark ll's menu more efficiently than reading the printed manual alone. I would hope to see a second DVD set going into further detail on the camera's functions and movie taking techniques.

Overall, I'm giving 4 stars because I learned a few things even tho I'm very familiar with the camera. It has some negatives as well (would have probably given 3 1/2 stars if I could go between 3 and 4).

They might sell more if the price were a bit lower too.
