It's difficult to get all enthusiastic and excited about a very basic item such as printer ink, so I will pass on an attempt at trying to do so. What can be said about this ink? It works as advertised with very good print quality and serves its intended purpose just as it should - no surprises here.

I personally do not find the price to be unreasonable for this twin pack of black ink cartridges - much better than the price at the local office supply store. Based on my previous experiences with Canon printers (prior MX860 owner), I know that the many cartridges of this ink to be purchased in the future will keep me reliably and happily printing along for many thousands of pages to come.

It may just be my own subjective impression, but I personally find that OEM ink cartridges seem to not only provide consistently better print quality, but also last noticeably longer than the diverse lower priced knockoffs that are available.

I give this product 4 out of 5 stars, because it just not proper to excessively sing the praises of printer ink; let's just keep this a simple and low-key review.

I have stopped buying the Canon Brand ink. My printer drinks this stuff, of course I do a lot of printing and I use at least 2 of these a month. I started ordering the recycled ink cartridges Sophia Global Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon PGI-225 (3 Large Black) for $17.19..a whole lot cheaper.

It's ink and works but expensive.

Its does what its supposed to do.
From what I have learned though is that if you print a Grayscale mode it seems to use this cartridge more and the others less (possibly not at all).

So this may save money by only needing to change this cartridge.

What can I say. It is ink, and the price, no matter where I buy it, is ridiculous. But, the ink works fine, and it is easy to install the cartridges. I only give it 3 stars because I could buy a new printer for what I have to pay for the ink.

I have purchased off brands in ink for previous printers, but in all honesty they do not seem to work as well. Maybe that is the reason for the high name brand prices. Still don't like the cost though.

I have bought this particular product at a big retailer and found it to be more expensive, they didn't always have it in stock when I needed it and it was quite a drive from my house. I was very pleased to be able to order it through Amazon. It arrived within the time stated was exactly the printer cartridge that I needed, cost less and I didn't have to drive anywhere to get it. The cartridges are working fine in my printer and I will order my printer supplies from Amazon in the future.

I have been buying Canon printers over the last 20 years or so and I learned the hard way....always buy Canon ink and steer clear of the 'great' savings from other companies. Yes, the cartridges cost a little more but the quality is excellent and Canon will not give me a hard time if it breaks down. In the past, they have replaced my broken printer the NEXT DAY....excellent service.....which is why I always buy Canon.

What can you say about printer ink other than it dispenses well and the print quality is good. The cartridges last about as long as one would expect.

Let's see... you can buy two PGI-225 tanks here in the 'Value Pack' for over $24 (including Prime shipping), or you can buy just one for under $10 (also including Prime shipping).

I actually had already ordered this item when I decided to check the price of one tank... then cancelled the first order and ordered two individual tanks instead of this "value pack". Costs around $5 less to buy the two tanks in individual packages instead of this "value pack". So that's what I did.

I'm seeing more and more cases like this where the larger container of detergent (which should be cheaper) costs more per ounce than the smaller container of the identical product. Same thing here with this value pack vs. the individual tanks. Maybe they look at the math scores of our students and figure that most customers won't notice anyway. Perhaps they are right.

My one star rating is based on the price of this "value pack" and not on the ink quality.

I love this twin pack because I seem to use more ink than most people. It's cheaper here than the cannon site.
