This amazing machine delivers an impressive resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi, for remarkable detail and clarity. How does it do it? Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a next-generation 1,856-nozzle print head that ejects precise, consistent droplets as small as 1 picoliter. More nozzles + smaller droplets = smoother, virtually grain-free images. Further, our ContrastPLUS 5-color ink system - four dye-based inks and a pigment-based black ink - produces true-life photos with a wide color palette, along with laser-quality text. You won't have to wait long to see your results; a beautiful photo lab quality 4"x 6" borderless photo takes approximately 51 seconds. Advanced performance doesn't stop there. AE (Auto Exposure) Copy feature automatically optimizes reproduction quality based on the type of original you're duplicating. When scanning photos or graphics, you'll see highquality 1200-dpi reproduction with vibrant 48-bit color depth. Plus, advanced paper handling provides you with several smart options. The dual paper path allows you to keep photo paper stored in one tray and plain paper in the other - so you can print photos or documents without having to switch paper. You can even print 2 sided reports, saving paper. Large 2.5" LCD viewer, direct printing. With the large 2.5" color LCD viewer you can evaluate your images in beautiful color, then enhance them before printing! Just insert your compatible memory card into a built-in card slot and begin viewing. As needed, your images will automatically be enhanced for red eye, sharpness and brightness on your subjects' faces. Or, you can fine tune the images using the easy control panel.

I had decided to replace my Dell printer since it seemed to have more issues than not, as well as the fact that I went through ink (which wasn't cheap) like there was no tomorrow. I researched the web seeking a decent printer for a decent price that would be more economical in terms of ink.

Alas, this printer popped up time and again.

I'm happy it did! This printer has all the bells and whistles, is easy to use, affordable, does a great job whether printing documents or photos, and is much more efficient at its use of ink!

I bought this printer from a local retail store. Due to the cheap price, I assumed that it would have average print quality, etc. You get what you pay for, right?

Wrong!

*The quality of printed photos is amazing, assuming that you are using good quality paper.

*It is easy to setup and operate

*It has a cool little lcd screen that allows you to navigate through the printer settings and even preview pics that you want to print.

*You can plug your camera's memory card directly into the printer for easy access.

*It comes with some cool editing software, etc.

*It just looks so sleek and stylish.

...the list goes on and on. It's a great buy, especially if you get a good price on it. I told my dad about this printer and he wanted to try one out for size. He bought one for himself and uses it at his office. He has not had any problems either.

The other user, who posted a comment, must have gotten a lemon. Either that, or it was some type of user error (no offense intended)

I have owned many printers and scanners over the years and this one (for the price) beats all the others, hands down!

Some features to consider about this all-in-one:
- Four color printing with individual color ink cartriges (black, magenta, cyan, yellow)

- Two separate paper feed sources, so you can keep letter & legal in the printer at the same time and switch between them just by pressing a button

- Two-page printing automatically prints on both sides of paper

- VERY EASY to replace ink cartriges

- Scans to image or Acrobat file format

- Prints to paper edge for borderless photo printing

- Outstanding photo quality. This was one of the 'top picks' by several reviewing organizations for an all-in-one printer, regardless of price

This is the first printer that I have been absolutely happy with. You will not regret buying this printer.
