I had decided to replace my Dell printer since it seemed to have more issues than not, as well as the fact that I went through ink (which wasn't cheap) like there was no tomorrow. I researched the web seeking a decent printer for a decent price that would be more economical in terms of ink.Alas, this printer popped up time and again. I'm happy it did! This printer has all the bells and whistles, is easy to use, affordable, does a great job whether printing documents or photos, and is much more efficient at its use of ink!

The best printer I have ever owned,

I bought this printer from a local retail store. Due to the cheap price, I assumed that it would have average print quality, etc. You get what you pay for, right?Wrong! *The quality of printed photos is amazing, assuming that you are using good quality paper. *It is easy to setup and operate *It has a cool little lcd screen that allows you to navigate through the printer settings and even preview pics that you want to print. *You can plug your camera's memory card directly into the printer for easy access. *It comes with some cool editing software, etc. *It just looks so sleek and stylish. ...the list goes on and on. It's a great buy, especially if you get a good price on it. I told my dad about this printer and he wanted to try one out for size. He bought one for himself and uses it at his office. He has not had any problems either. The other user, who posted a comment, must have gotten a lemon. Either that, or it was some type of user error (no offense intended)

Buy It!,

I have owned many printers and scanners over the years and this one (for the price) beats all the others, hands down! Some features to consider about this all-in-one: - Four color printing with individual color ink cartriges (black, magenta, cyan, yellow) - Two separate paper feed sources, so you can keep letter & legal in the printer at the same time and switch between them just by pressing a button - Two-page printing automatically prints on both sides of paper - VERY EASY to replace ink cartriges - Scans to image or Acrobat file format - Prints to paper edge for borderless photo printing - Outstanding photo quality. This was one of the 'top picks' by several reviewing organizations for an all-in-one printer, regardless of price This is the first printer that I have been absolutely happy with. You will not regret buying this printer.

I have had this printer for almost a year. It worked very well until it ran out of ink. For some reason trying to replace the second black cartridge will not accept it. That means the printer will not work. I paid a repairman close to $100 and he could not get the ink cartridge to go in either. Even though Cannon is his favorite printer he suggested to get rid of this printer and try a different brand.

Good gone Bad!,

Loved this printer when it worked. Then one day, it started to have trouble feeding, and 1 repairman later, the mother board had gone bad after only 1 year or less. The picture quality was awesome, but, the ink was expensive and ran out quickly. I'm not going to take a chance on another one this time.

I bought this printer as a replacement for an all-in-one Epson that I had more problems with than I could ever count. I had heard Cannon was a very high quality, dependable brand for printers. After quite a bit of research, I ultimately decided on the MP500. I've had this printer for quite a while now and absolutely LOVE it! The ink has lasted longer than any other printers I've had,the print quality is very good, and I never have to worry if it is going to work or not.I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for one!

I bought this printer in April after reading many positive reviews. It was easy to set up--even for a "technophobe" like me. I managed to get it to execute all its functions (text printing, photo printing, scanning and copying) without calling one of my children for help. Like any inkjet printer, it seems like I had to replenish the ink supply all too soon--but that goes with the territory. Then, the other day, I tried to print something off the web and up comes this message on my computer screen, "Service error 6B10" I turned off the unit and disconnected the power cord as suggested by the manual but I kept getting that message. Then I called tech support (also suggested by the manual). After a mercifully short hold time of a minute or two, a pleasant technician had me verify that there was no paper jam and then told me that my unit would need servicing. Since it was still under warranty, I could have Cannon ship me a refurbished model and I could ship them back my printer or I could take it to a computer repair shop and have them fix it at Cannon's expense. I chose the second option. These printers have been out for less than a year and already Canon has a supply that have had to be "refurbished." This makes me think that this model has some real design flaws or, as I said to the tech support person, it's junk. |
