Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The PIXMA iP6210D Photo Printer combines beautiful image quality with exceptional printing versatility. One key to its impressive performance: Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses an innovative print head with 2,304 nozzles that eject consistent, precise ink droplets as small as two picoliters. It's simple: more nozzles with high accuracy equal amazing results. This patented technology produces an outstanding resolution of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, for superb detail and photo-realism. And for increased color accuracy, high-intensity Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta have been added to the conventional four inks. You'll be amazed at your photo results.

High performance doesn't stop there. You'll be able to print borderless photos with the look and feel of conventional photographs, in 4" x 6", 5" x 7" and 8.5" x 11" sizes. Now let's talk speed: printing a beautiful photo lab quality 4"x 6" borderless photo takes approximately 60 seconds. Plus, the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface enables the fastest photo transfers possible from your computer.

The PIXMA iP6210D's built-in slots let you print directly from compatible memory cards, and in this mode it automatically brightens your subjects' faces, corrects for red eye and increases sharpness, as needed. Or, you can print directly from your PictBridge compatible digital camera or DV camcorder, with automatic face brightening.

The Canon ChromaLife100 system combines the PIXMA iP6210D Photo Printer's FINE print head technology and newly developed inks with select Canon photo papers, with results rivaling that of many conventional photos. These beautiful photos will also last up to 100 years when stored in an archival quality photo album.

PIXMA iP6210D Photo Printer, iP6210D print head, power cord, FINE cartridges: CL-51 color, CL- 52 photo, documentation kit, easy setup instructions, Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy for Borderless Printing 4" x 6" sample pack

1.0 out of 5 stars Very expensive to run, November 4, 2006

Dont be fooled by the low price. The printer uses combined color cartridges with very small capacity. These have to be replaced even if one of the colors gets finished and cost more than the printer. Not sure what canon was thinking - are we supposed to use the printer once and then throw it away instead of getting an ink cartridge.

ps : I have traditionally been a big fan of canon having used their photo printers for the last 3 years.

I printed my pictures directly from my SD card and they turned out beautifully! High gloss photo paper and a good photographer make for gorgeous pictures when you print them out on this printer! Highly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRINTER, February 26, 2007

This review is from: Canon PIXMA iP6210D Photo Printer (Office Product)
This is a great printer for making quick prints of your photos or other documents. For what I use it for the speed is okay. The only thing you might have to watch out for on this printer is the ink cartridges. Since a few colors are in the same cartridge, if you run out of one color you will have to replace the whole cartridge. Even if the other colors are still full. Other than that, a great printer for quick prints.
