This review is from: Canon PowerShot A2000 IS Digital Camera, 10.0 Megapixel, 6x Optical Zoom, 3.0 Inch LCD Display, Mini Digital Camera Deluxe Carrying Case, 3pc. Lens Cleaning Kit, 4 GB Memory Card, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Card Reader (Electronics)
We considered the battery type when we bought this item and asked ourselves, "How often have we forgotten our recharger?", how often have we had the camera run out of charge and not had a place to plug in the charger?, what do we carry to avoid this problem? An extra battery, the same as you we do for this camera. All other features of this camera, including the post holidays price are superior to the alternatives. The large screen with readable print and the high resolution (10.1M) were the deal makers.

Awsone camera. This camera has all the features my old 35MM A-1 Canon has and that camera cost $1200.00 back in the day. Not only that, you don't need no stinking film ! Don't waste your money on anything else.........this camera can do it all.

Biggest problem with this camera, and it was a deal breaker. It does not have a rechargable battery. It runs on double a batteries. Who would want a camera that will run out of batteries and have to go buy more before it can be used again. We returned the camera right away and went with a camera with a lithium battery. Wish the product description would have noted the battery type to begin with.
