This camera is very compact (a desired trait that my wife wanted) and reasonably easy to use. As my wife is not technically savvy, I had to explain the controls and operation of the camera to her a couple of times because she will not read the instruction manual. She loves it. The next hurdle will be showing her how to transfer the pictures to her computer.

The picture quality is excellent and the camera works great so far. Not to berate the camera but it is very difficult to simplify/explain easily the operation of a camera that can do so much to a person who does not understand technology.

Fast delivery. Great deal on camera package. The upgrade was the price of the 4GB memory card, but also included an extra battery. Advice--don't wait until one week before the big vacation to buy a new camera. Have plenty of time to get used to the functions. I had to take time to read the instruction book several times during vacation. It would have been better to have done that BEFORE the trip. The only problem I had was the camera would fog up when going from air conditioning to hot, humid beach conditions. Missed shots of monkeys while waiting for the fog to clear--which took 2-3 minutes. Other than that the pictures were great.
The camera is a good size and was easy to carry.
