This packaged deal is/was "all that and a bag of chips!!" The intuitive and user friendly camera, the great accessories and included extras, and the great price were all as promised.

After spending a bit of time reading and discovering all the "things" this camera could do, then practicing BEFORE the "gotta get this picture" pressure arrived, this S5 IS, and its 48x zoom (combined), and a 4GB memory card (I purchased separately because it can hold 1,000 photos) meets and exceeds my expectations of a "camera that really captures the moment."

If you are somewhat dissatisfied by "digital cameras W/O through the lens viewing capability" then THIS camera is for you!! The option to use a digital screen OR the lensfinder is terrific. It is a true SLR with digital capabilities at a price that more people than before can afford.

The review screen is incredibly clear and presents digital quality images. The numerous settings and mode options truly give the photographer either total control or offer complete auto management by the camera.

This is one of the best cameras I've ever purchased; and it lives up to its promises AND the Canon reputation.
