A "Pro Series" battery,
By
This review is from: Canon PowerShot S410 / S500 NB-1L 3.7 V 800 mAh Replacement Battery (Electronics)
I cannot rate how this battery works, but I do have some comments about Accessory Genie and this Ad.
My experience: I was looking for a Canon replacement battery for my Sureshot and I wanted Canon brand only. After searching Amazon, this battery mentioned Canon and Canon only (and at the time I write this, STILL no other brand is mentioned), so I purchased it. When it came (and it was a fast delivery) and it was NOT a Canon, I was irate. I needed the battery ASAP, so replacement was not an option. I am currently not able to leave the house, I only shop online. So I left a negative review on Amazon. That same day I got a three sentence email from Accessory Genie, I wish I had saved it, but it was something like: We saw your review. It clearly states the battery is a Canon replacement. Remove your negative review. Well, that just made me more angry, and I emailed back. Many emails went back and forth. They phoned me as well and left three messages! Geesh! Accessory Genie has tried very had to make me happy. Offering coupons and the like. I stopped responding, I have other things to do. I tried to revise my review to say that the company tried to resolve my problems, but was not able to do so. They have tried, but obviously they cannot go back in time. They also seem to disagree with my assessment of their advertising. It's a matter of semantics. Do you think a Canon replacement battery is a Canon or do you think it isn't? I feel the brand should be included on something you're purchasing! No photo was included either. So, I leave it up to you to decide. They refunded my complete purchase price, which I did not ask them to do. They have not asked for the battery back either. But the whole point of this is that I do not approve of their advertising, and I'm not taking that off. It would be a disservice to the rest of you.
