This is my first camera which it came with a lot of extras. For the price that I paid came, it with a boatload of goodies, such as a mini tri-pod, an extra 4gb, extra battery, etc if you decided to pay a few extra dollars in contrast to just a single camera.

I've done my homework by asking around if someone can recommend me one. Then my italian friend reccommended me this particular model and it turns out that she has done a great job in finding me the perfect one. The quality of the pictures are awesome without using any special kind of software. Although I do use Photoshop Lightroom and Elements to optimize my work and believe me it brought me great results. The camera provides software where you can transfer your images from the device to your computer plus you can retouch it.

Here is the thing, I came across one of my photoshop books and it has a chapter on raw images. A raw image simply means when you take the picture, the image won't do the color saturation, white balance, contrast, brightness, etc which you specified on the camera settings so the image will come out very very basic. It has a lot of benefits because if you are learning about photoshop or any other editing software the raw image is ready to be manipulated, enhanced, optimized to the max professional level. FYI you might to buy a tripod if you are using some of the special camera modes.

This camera only saves in the jpeg format so becareful in buying this camera if you are considering in buying a camera and learning the hard-core software. Like i said, when I used Photoshop Elements and Lightroom, it gave me great results but when I read the section on raw images it totally blew my mind away. Don't be discouraged you can still make award winning shots with this awesome piece of equipment. Happy Photographing!
