It was gift for my Mother-in-law who has difficulty viewing pictures on small screen. I needed some high res. low Maint. camera. This camera has AA battery so no issues there. takes nice pictures when i tested and when used by 60+ year old with little or no training, you have to give 2 Thumbs up to Canon.

This little camera absolutely blew me away. I have four other digital cameras from Fujifilm, Nikon and Kodak but this bargain-basement priced camera is better than all of them, and they are not the entry level cameras in their lines like this one is. I've never used a Canon before but I can definitely see why people love them. To be fair though, the zoom range is not very good on this camera compared to many on the market today, but it's perfect if you're going to be doing a lot of close up macro shots or if you're looking for a good cheap camera to start out with that doesn't require advanced knowledge of photography principles. Its focus range is .4 inches to infinity so you can get right up on a subject and get a perfectly sharp and clear picture. It even has a focus assist that fires this little orange beam from right next to the lens that measures the distance to your target and adjusts focus appropriately. The smart auto feature is also extremely handy and very accurate at choosing your shutter, aperture, ISO, and white balance for you. This camera is hands-down the best point and shoot I have ever used, it takes great photos with little to no effort on your part and surpasses even high end consumer models in other manufacturer's product lines. Don't let the low price fool you, this camera will really surprise you with its picture quality.

We received this camera promptly and it was well packed. We bought it for our granddaughter's birthday, which is next month. We bought it because of the very good reviews.

I bought this camera for my seven year old who loves taking photos. I got tired of being asked constantly to borrow my, more expensive, camera. I bought one of those toy cameras once; it was more than half the price of this one and it broke within a few months. This one is a lot more sturdy and has stood up to some pretty rough handling.

Batteries aren't the propietary charge style, which is nice. They're simple AAA batteries; which means you can buy some at any store or get some regular rechargeables.

The images are pretty good. And the screen is the perfect size, and decently lit, to assist in composing a decent photo with this camera.

This new camera out of the box was broken. After powering up the camera, the zoom lense zoomed out all by itself, freezing there. I have 3 other Canon cameras and never had a problem with any of them. This is a first.

Super little camera, takes great pictures. I carry it in my purse all the time, its small enough, and I am always ready to take a pic.

Bought this camera for vacation and on the third day the focus was completely gone. Could only see a blurred image in the screen and the last picture taken had lines across it. Thank goodness my husband had packed another older camera and we didn't miss any pictures.
