This Canon printer-scanner package combines the features of the CanoScan FB 630U (a one-pass, flatbed, color and monochrome scanner) with the Canon S450 Printer (a compact bubble jet printer that also provides professional quality desktop printing).
With the FB 630U, you'll produce crisp, professional, fast scans at 600 x1,200 dpi optical resolution, and 36-bit color depth. A programmable button permits you to copy, fax, and e-mail scanned documents automatically, and send images to your printer or fax modem. With its image window of 8.5 by 11.7 inches, offices will value the compact and light 630U scanner. It comes complete with a Canon Creative Image CD-ROM, ScanGear CS-U TWAIN driver, ScanGear Toolbox CS, Canon Plug-in Module CS-U, CanoScan Toolbox CS, Canon Photo, and TextBridge Pro software.
With the Canon S450 Printer and Canon's trademarked Drop Modulation technology, you'll print documents with less graininess and cleaner color gradations. Documents print in 1,440 x 720 dpi for black and color at 10 ppm in black and 7 ppm in color. Continuous printing is enabled by the 100-sheet paper feed, and the printer handles all business stationery, envelopes, photo paper, and transparencies--for all your graphic needs. With its individual ink tanks, you replace only the ink color that runs out.
The S450 printer and the 630U scanner both have USB interfaces and provide Mac and PC compatibility. Canon offers a one-year limited warranty on parts and labor for each unit.

At first I was concerned about the printer and scanner, and wan't sure whether it came with all the cables and ink cartridges. I was surprized to find everything was together and everything was included. The S450 printer prints extremely fast, is easy to set up, and last a long time. The scanner is equally as efficent, as photos are exact images. This is a wonderful product.

About 6 months after buying the S450, I started getting paper jams from hell. I called Customer Service and they replaced it with a refurbished model. 4 months later the same problem has surfaced. It wastes ink like crazy and the so called economical ink tanks cost a fortune since I was reprinting pages because of the very frequent paper jams. I never had this problem with my HP Deskjet which I owned for 4-5 years!!!
