This is a wonderful addition for the Canon portable printer. I am often on the road and in facilities where it is sometimes difficult to find enough power outlets, this device is definitely a valuable resource and companion for this printer.

This is a great printer because of its size and portability. In an urban living setting, every square inch of living space counts. Just take it out of the closet, print something, and very conveniently put it away out of sight. Now I'm either a noob or its a real bi+ch to set up for wireless. It took me a couple hours and don't ask me how I did it.

I actually had trouble finding this product because it was relatively new. But Amazon had it. I ordered it and the delivery progress was easy to track. It arrived on time and works perfectly. I am the envy of other computer users at the coffee shop.

The concept of a battery operated printer was quiet exciting. I had been looking for a portable printer (to make my office truely mobile).
A few years ago, I had seen canon wireless printer and was looking for the same (though it worked only when connected to a power outlet). Great to see that Canon had upgraded the product to make it work with battery power too.

The software install was smooth.

Hiding the bluetooth receiver on the DC Power inlet side is a clever option provided by Canon. It's a pity the Canon user manual does not tell you about it. There is just a photograph of it on one of the many printed material I received with the printer. If not for another reviewer on this site (Guys, you provided the best hidden gem!), I would have never known and would have been looking for it in all the reasonable places. I even tried to fit it in the empty space in the battery compartment (how stupid of me!). Pulling the cover on the DC Power-in side is a bit scary. I felt as if I am going to break the plastic plate and destroy the printer aesthetics within 15 minutes of opening the package. Putting it back brought back the same sensation. Maybe that's the reason why Canon is not explicitly advertising this option/providing it in their user manual!

The sytem recognized the printer over bluetooth connection without any issue.

Printing the first page (right from booting up the printer) seems to take forever. But once the cartridges have powered themselves, printing is very fast and smooth. The quality of prinout is great too - both in mono and color.

I have not yet tried how many pages can I print non-stop before the battery finally discharges. If I happen to print out a large volume, I would definitely like to give it a try and then update my review here too.

The best part is - if I do not need to print, I keep it away inside my laptop bag - gives me extra space on the desk real estate. When I need it, I bring it out, use it, once done send it back to where it was.

I am enjoying the printer everybit every day of my work-life.

This battery is very useful if you want to print on the go. Relatively lightweight and not too bulky, it easily screws onto the back of your printer and powers it. Combined with Canon's Bluetooth adapter, you will have the ultimate portable printer!

Superior product. It sold me on purchasing Cannon equipment for office printing and copying. Superior print quality, far beyond what I expected for a portable printer. It's on the expensive side, but well worth it for road warriors who need high quality printing on the go.

Portable is the operative word here. I bought the printer, the battery pack, and the USB adapter and I can tell you that this printer out performs some of my other printers that I own. Fast print spool times and super quick and extremely accurate printing. The hardest thing that I have to deal with is where to store the paper when not in use. The in feed holds 25 sheets at least so feel free to print away. The cartridges last for a decent amount also. As far as battery life goes, I had this unit stored for 3-4 weeks, took it out and then printed 35 copies of a project without even plugging the unit in for a charge. Terrific unit!

Easily installed. Works great. I am happy to be relieved of constantly connecting any wires with the exception of charging the unit.

My portable canon printer is fantastic! It works faster and produces better quality print outs than my larger printer/scanner desk printer does! It travels anywhere with me! I can even use it in the car. I just slide it into a totebag and carry it along. Then I can set it up in seconds wherever I am....hotel room, restaurant, conference, car, etc. It is the best piece of computer equipment I have bought in 20 years!

I got this to make my iP100 printer even more portable. It works very well. However, because the optional Bluetooth dongle is worthless to me and I have to plug a printer cable in anyway, it's not that much more difficult to plug the printer into an outlet.

Pros: Good build quality. Simple to set up and use.

Cons: Expensive. Not worth it because the Bluetooth dongle is a waste.
