Also, I found the buttons a little difficult to press.

I liked it because it was a bluetooth unit similar to the keyboard and mouse that came with my iMAC and because it had a normal-sized numerical keypad.

This calculator/keypad requires batteries, yet it only works if it gets direct bright light.

This is a great keypad and calculator. I'm not sure why the other customer wasn't happy.

The instructions are not very helpful though... When you're pairing this keypad with your computer you have to press the "Send" key on your keypad once you enter in the required numbers, not "enter" as the instructions says. After that then your "Cal/KP" button works great. Note: the "Cal/KP" button works only after pairing this keypad with your computer.

The greatest function of this keypad is that you can turn off the keypad function using "Cal/KP" and use it as a normal calculator to do quick calculations then press "Send" to send the end number to your computer. It's hard to explain, but if you buy the keypad you'll really enjoy this function if you input a lot of numbers and calculations. Also, pressing "Cal/KP" doesn't disconnect it from your computer. It just turns off the keypad function so you can do calculations then press it again to turn back on the keypad function.

The internal tilt of the screen helps with glare. And... Bonus, it's solar powered and battery powered.

I thoroughly enjoy this product!

I've tried many keypads to use with my Mac Bluetooth keyboard. This is the best I could find.

Pros:
* The keys are big and feel like it's a part of the keyboard. Most of the other keypads are too small.
* It looks great with the mac keyboard.
* Sturdy construction
* Can switch between keypad and calculator easily by pushing a button.
* Rubber grips on the bottom
* Mac compatible

Cons:
* Instructions are a little confusing.
* Bluetooth connection was lost periodically the first three days, but seems to stay connected now.
* Buttons require a bit more pressure than the keyboard, but you'll get used to it.

My title basically sums up the issues with this product.

This would be a five star product if the the keypad would actually register double clicks. I'm surprised nobody here commented on this. For example, if I entered "1145", the keypad would only register "145". You have to pause for a bit before pressing the "1" key after the first press. Now I'm not talking a long pause here but clearly the keypad should be able to register all clicks of the keypad just like all bluetooth keyboards do. I'm using the keypad with a Macbook Pro Retina and I know my keypad is not defective as I purchased two of them and they both behave the same. I also paired one with a Macbook Air - same problem. This is a severe limitation for those that enter data quickly like myself. If you are a slow typer, this keyboard is a five star product especially considering the price.

Second issue - while the calculator uses two AAA batteries, it does not power the calculator itself - only the bluetooth/keypad function. So if you plan to use this as a calculator in addition to a keypad, note that you will have to be under a significant amount of light to use it at all. I work a lot in the evenings and while I work in an environment that provides more than enough light to read under, it's not enough light to power up the calculator. I need to increase the brightness of the room to the point that it's uncomfortable to my eyes (not to mention a waste of electricity). Because I work a lot at night, the calculator function was useless to me.

As a calculator, great product but for a bluetooth keyboard it isn't what i expected because after you enter the numbers, you have to press the send button to see the numbers on the screen, and after a while it disconnects, which you have connect it again and which is not so easy for my mac. To connect the device to the computer you have to press the connect button with a pen and wait for the computer to detect it, and then, only after you enter the code for pairing and press the send button to connect it.

With the proper expectations, this is an excellent product.

Pros: This calculator is well-constructed and pairs nicely with either my iPad or my iMac. Once you figure it out, the dual interface (calculator mode vs. keypad mode) is actually quite clever and comfortable.
Cons: As a keypad, the calculator does not understand "hold"; i.e., it interpets a click -- not matter how long held -- as just a single click. This was frustrating, as I intended to use it as a gamepad. As a calculator, it's a shame it doesn't include anything beyond the basic five functions (a square root key would have been *extremely* helpful.

I loved the idea as there is no 10-key on most laptops, and having this does help. I am an accounting student so having something like this on hand. It works as it should but the biggest issue is that the battery runs out fairly quickly and the solar panel that is built in only works under extreme light so it is running more on the battery power rather than the solar input panel.

Paired with my Mac easily. Has a nice appearance which matches the Mac keyboard and trackpad. Seems to be working good so far. And very inexpensive.
