This battery gets the job done, but obviously doesn't keep a charge like the Canon batteries. But I have 3 of these, and one Canon, and with a battery pack that holds two batteries, it does the job just fine. I can get through multiple hour sessions with these batteries and never have to change them for charging. I just notice the difference when using two of these as opposed to one of these with the Canon battery. Good battery for the price, though, and I'd definitely buy more - it's always good to have plenty of backups!

What an awesome, cheap alternative to the more expensive batteries for the 50D!! They work really well so far and seem to hold a charge just as well as the original battery does.

I had only one battery for Canon 50D and finally the battery was out at the very critical moment. Actually the battery lasts long but I forgot to recharge it. After this incident, decided to buy backups. This is what I chose based on other reviews and also the price was not a big a deal compared to Canon's.
When I received this replacement batteries, I really surprised that those look exactly same with original Canon's. I think all batteries are made from China, and the factory that manufactures Canon batteries sells some without Canon logo.
Two batteries are exactly same, only difference is just Conon logo on back.
Replacement is perfectly working including charging time and the battery lasts long too.
I'm completely satisfied with the quality of replacements(appearance too).
Recommend to everyone.
