Ok, I use the extra dioptric adjustment lenses, so I needed to buy this frames to fit around them. On the 1Dmk2N, the latch holds it in place and it does make for a snug fit. It looks like the original. No problem with it coming off with the latch in place.

I have had to buy Canon frames for my 5D and Rebel XT. Neither of these was a great fit, but this one is.
