... I looked at the very reasonable price on the CANON S200 on AMAZON.COM and read the very sincere review by this fine young lad...and then checked out the prices on the ink cartridges for this machine-ABOUT half or less of the Lexmark's!!!...Well this was the clincher! I immediately ordered the unit from AMAZON-received it a few days later in first rate condition...and have not regretted the decision one bit! It was very inexpensive...even with the USB cable added to the purchase which CANON does not supply.

The quality of the S200 is so good and the setup software a breeze, it is hard for me to imagine someone wanting a more expensive machine except for a laser model! If I could, I would give the CANON 10*'s!Regardless of the DPI rating-Color photos are superb!

Regular print quality is second to none!The owner's manual is very well written.The machine itself has yet to jam[an unbelieveable feat-especially around our household!]. There is a small blue lever under the cover where the cartridges are housed. This lever must be set correctly for a given type of paper-all the way to the left for normal white paper.

The cartridges themselves slide in very nicely on a tray or sub-housing{if you will}. At any rate-they are easy to deal with!

My wife is a CCD director for her school and constantly has the printer going. I do a lot of auction selling and always am making copies of my ads! The kids continue to have their book reports to do! In four weeks of solid use, the printer has not jammed once!...NO KIDDING!! The color cart is still on almost full and the black is about halfway down!...AMAZING!!

However if you are looking for speed...look elsewhere...AS YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET IT WITH THE CANON! If you are looking for a sleek[about half the size of the LEXMARK Z42]printer that does a super job at a really great price-in a reasonable amount of time...then look for the CANON S200!...Absolutely FIRST RATE!! You won't regret it!! Do remember to purchase the USB cable from AMAZON...IT'S very inexpensive!! Thank you, CANON and thank you, AMAZON.COM ...

Being in Grade 6, I needed a good, economical printer that I could buy with my allowance money. The Canon S200 is it! My projects are all printed with crisp, clean 2,880 dpi printing! This printer is also useful for everyone in my family. So trust my advice and GET THIS PRINTER!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a good printer with a good page print out. Three per minute with b@w, 1 per minute with color. This has less jamming and can take almost any cartridge. Compared to the BJC, this printer kicks it to kingdom come. Buy it if you are a beginner or need a reliable printer.

You don't save any money using the cheaper ink tanks, vs. the costlier cartridges, as the ink tanks run out extremely fast. It prints well, but I wouldn't buy it again. It goes out of alignment and needs cleaning too often.

We loved this printer for about a day and a half. There is very little noise (that is) when it feels up to printing. However; when printer was out of paper and we refilled it, the feeder didn't operate properly. This didn't just happen once, it happened about 3 or 4 times. Even though there was paper in the paper holder and it was loaded properly, a pop up message box kept insisting that the printer was out of paper and refused to print any documents. I have only owned this product a few weeks and already it needs to be serviced.

Received the printer yesterday - my first personal printer. Excellent quality of print on the normal A4 paper. Used it in color mode - seems slow if you're used to laser printers. The setup was a cakewalk for my machine with Windows XP. Assembling the printer itself was very easy as well, with the 1-page express setup visual guide ! The box got delivered much before expected delivery date, thank you Amazon.[com.]

I bought this printer mainly because of how compact it is, which was a big mistake. It is the slowest printer I have ever encountered. I print a lot of black and white text and can't believe how slow it is. I have had it for a couple of weeks and I am already shopping around for a new printer that can spit out the pages a lot faster. I wouldn't buy another one.

As long as I use the standard A4 paper in portrait mode, it works fine, but then again, I often use A5 or envelopes. The printer does not complain, but it slows down my computer at a rate that makes it impossible to do any real work, so I have to write my stuff, while my program is configuret for another printer, and then change the printer right befor printing. I then only have to wait 3-5 minutes - for a single page, never dared do anythgin larger - befor the driver starts processing the job, and from there well it's slow but it does print.
