I bought this camera the other day and thought it was great. I also recommend getting the kit, as the camera isn't very handy without a case. The camera takes great pictures, and they were great in both focus and clarity. However the shutter delay is a bit irritating, as it takes a while to take the picture after pressing the button (2-3 secs, however I'm not sure if its only my camera or part of the design. the camera fits snugly into the hand, and is lightweight. Overall I am very pleased by yet another great Canon product.

This is a camera for beginners and seasoned photographers alike. It's lightweight, easy to grab, point, and shoot- and takes great pictures every time! (Assuming, of course, you have composed a nice picture). This model has the zoom/date features, focus lock, self timer, auto flash, red eye reduction, real time release and slow syncho modes. Great for vacations, and a great price! I actually had two of these cameras, one for color, one for black & white! I was never disappointed.

I have been sorely disappointed by this camera. It does not focus well at all and most of the pictures I have taken have come out blurry. In addition the flash lights up the pictures poorly. I figured that based on how nice pictures are that I have seen taken with the EOS rebel this would be a good buy. I was terribly wrong. It was a waste of money and I am going back to the very dependable Olympus stylus model I used to have.

I bought this camera about 7 years ago and this camera works very good and takes good pictures. I am still using this camera to this day Nov-16-2007. I thought that I would share this with people. I wrote this review because people give it a bad review when there is nothing wrong with the camera. I am too cheap to buy a digital camera. Thanks Michael

I bought this camera when i was going to school in Hawaii. The pictures i got from it were clear and crisp I never had any problems with it. I was disappointed when someone stole it from me.

I too was disappointed in the Canon Sure Shot. Mainly, the pictures are not as sharp and crisp as I had hoped; and the indoor pictures have never come out that great. The metal piece on the front that protects the lens FELL off (discovered after the fact, so it was too late to find where it had fallen off), so now I get "light leaks". I will probably not buy a Canon camera again--and will go back to an Olympus.
