5.0 out of 5 stars for the people who want to know a little bit more., December 20, 2000
By jennifer turiano (rochester, ny United States) - See all my reviews
i was very surprised to read the negative reviews of this camera. in reading them i also realize these people didn't actually use the camera and judge it by the pictures. my husband and i are photographers and realize that all the extra perks and gadgets of a camera are not as important as the quality of a great shot. one of the best things about this camera is that it is not a zoom lens (it also does not advertise to be one) it is a dual lense which allows two settings instead of one but with a better quality lens. zoom cameras give you an in-between range and for that exact reason has a lower quality lens. we use this camera as a simple point and shoot to capture spur of the moment activities...view for yourself. we love this camera and i shopped all over for a dual lens instead of a zoom and this was the only one i could find.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good camera, but a little disappointing, August 22, 2001
By A Customer
I received this camera for Christmas, and was very excited to get a camera with a zoom. However, I was very disappointed when I found out it wasn't actually a zoom, but a dual-focus lens, so I only had two levels of zoom to choose from.

Other than that, this is a pretty good camera. It's very easy and fun to use--you can just take it out of the box and start taking pictures if you want to without having to read through a big manual. I also really like the date imprinting feature. I tend to forget just when I took a picture...now I don't have to worry about that anymore. :)

As long as you don't mind the dual-focus lense, this is a great camera. Just make sure you know what you're buying so you don't expect a zoom and get the dual-focus instead!

4.0 out of 5 stars Graet value for the money, June 18, 2000
While there are many cameras out in the market, this one is a great value. Not only do you get a high quality Canon product, but also a great camera that should last you a long time.

It is such a great value, I am going to purchase one as a gift!
