I bought this camera for my father. He loves gadgets and photography, but has been unable to use his SLR cameras since his stroke. The two huge buttons that control zoom are perfect for him. Very intuitive. Very convenient. Takes great pictures! He loves it. Why only 4 stars? APS film capability would make it 5 stars.

I needed an easy camera with a zoom that was still smallish. This camera is so very easy, it took about one night of playing around to figure out the different flash settings, but the zoom is so easy, nice big buttons, right where your fingers would go. Very easy, affordable camera with a zoom (vs. the Elph, which didn't have a zoom in the same price range, and this one is not much bigger).

We live in Michigan. Our 1st grandchild was born in Alaska. For our trip to see her, a cheap $40 camera was out of the question. We needed something with a few bells and whistles both for baby and for the Alaska scenery. I bought this camera and was very pleased with how user friendly it is. And the consistent quality of the pictures was well worth the price. On our Alaska trip I went through 9 rolls of 24 exposure film, ending up with over 200 pictures. I was VERY pleased with the result. Thank you Canon...

I had a Pentax earlier and it was good. But this is much better. Easy to use and I just developed my first set of photographs and they are awesome. Especially the photograph of a sunset.

This is a super camera for starters, like myself. If you really don't know alot about cameras, this one is perfect. It is very easy to use! I recommend it highly and you also aught to buy it here on Amazon because I shopped around all over the place- on and off line- and this was the cheapest price by far! Some were the exact same camera for as much as $100 more than it is here. Anyways, that's all I have to say about it! Have a good day and good luck camera hunting!

I have been very disappointed with the picture quality of this camera. Compared to my old Nikon Zoomtouch 70, the pictures, in general, are not as sharp although they are perfectly focused.
I would rate the picture quality of this camera, no better than those $10 disposal cameras.
Also, the date resets each time you change the main battery, unlike Nikon which has its own internal battery to maintain dates and time.
