4.0 out of 5 stars Camera Case
Quality product! I think the price was a little high considering its just a case. I've used it 5 times taking it to 93 feet at the deepest and not a drop of water or condensation inside. It would be nice if I could read what buttons are for what on the back of the case but the letters are clear and its hard to see underwater. My camera is new too so I'm not totally...

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY!!!!
Here's my story. While in Hawaii, I took my "SD 880 IS" inside the SUPOSSEDLY water-proof case (WP-DC26) on a catamaran ride and on this day, I had no issues. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the audio in video mode.

The next day I went to a private beach at Hickam AFB for some snorkeling. Without any exaggeration, I was waist-deep in the water when...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great waterproof case, December 22, 2008

Real simple. This case does what it is supposed to do, keep water out! It is made quite well. The materials used appear to be of a high quality. Operation of all buttons, switches, and knobs work without effort and are consistant in function.
I just got back from a trip to Bonaire (32 dives) and this case worked flawlessly. No leaking including 2 dives down to 110'.
Well done Canon. I didn't think it would be any different!

I was skeptical at first about paying so much for something I would use probably so little. You have to keep in mind, how much was your camera? Are you willing to gamble an inferior product to the safety of your camera investment just to save a few bucks? My camera is worth what I paid for and this will protect it from the water, sand (most people don't think the blowing sand getting in nooks and crannies, not to mention salt water mist!), or just any outdoor environment.

I have also read some reviews that you can NOT change modes once the case is on.
****** IF YOU READ YOUR MANUAL YOU WOULD KNOW THIS IS POSSIBLE!!!*****
Just hold the print button, while pressing the left or right on the 'scroll wheel' buttons. Works perfectly.

I love this product and recommend for anyone with the cameras that fit these. I also got to witness before, during, and after with this case and other cases from cheaper price points from a recent diving trip. This one hands down.

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality UW case offers full camera functionality, April 13, 2009
This review is from: Canon WP-DC26 Waterproof Case for Canon PowerShot SD880IS Digital Cameras (Electronics)
This impressive underwater camera case has optical quality plate glass for the lens. All of the camera's buttons, switches and functions can be accessed via good-sized buttons. It also comes with a clip-on transluscent flash diffuser which works nicely above and under water.

Bought Canon WP-DC26 to take to Australia and Fiji. Dove at the Whitsundays, took great pictures. In Fiji, dove to 24m, again great pictures. Remember to learn how your camera buttons work (the manual from the case is very helpful in tips for maintaining, cleaning, taking pics... READ IT). Use forced flash and the light disperser. Very helpful in taking great pictures.

Awesome case. Very durable and solidly built. Would recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Canon Underwater Housing, July 20, 2009

We just bought this case for our Canon camera. It's fantastic. It takes awesome pictures in the pool and the ocean, and it goes plenty deep to take it diving. This is our second waterproof case, as our first one did not work on the newer model camera. It's worth every penny!

I bought this case before my trip to Vegas for my friends wedding. We spent quite a bit of time down at the pool and I had my camera in this case the whole time. I absolutely love this case! It works so well and takes awesome pictures. The pictures I have from this trip.. especially the under water or in water pictures are awesome. It's nice to not only have pictures from when we were out and about.. but when we were around water. It helped to really captured my entire vacation and all the fun we had. I would recommend this camera case for everyone! It will not dissapoint.

Bought this case for our recent trip to Hawaii. We got great pics of the kids in the pool and snorkelling. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the pictures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Canon SD880 IS plus WP-DC26 performed flawlessly, January 1, 2009
This review is from: Canon WP-DC26 Waterproof Case for Canon PowerShot SD880IS Digital Cameras (Electronics)
I purchased Camera and Housing for a trip to the BVI. Dove to 77 feet and no leaks or condensation. All the buttons worked. The only issue is the wheel can't be turned in the housing. To use underwater mode select it before you close the case. Then you can switch between movie, auto and underwater modes with the top sliding switch. I don't believe the weights are needed, slight positive bouyancy is ok. Large screen assists with composition. I got the best shots by turning the flash to always on. I used a little anti fog on the case lens and no problems.
