Works Great!! Rather than buy a case for my older 7.1MP Elph I decided to upgrade and get an underwater case for my new SD990. Best purchase I have made!! It works great and the pictures come out really well. It was fun to take video and pictures in the pool experimenting with it. It is a little nerve wrecking to put your camera in the case at first but once you confirm that it is sealed you are good to go. It took great pictures when we were snorkeling too.

I got this for a trip to Costa Rica. I used it twice, once was for some repelling with water falls so it got very wet but worked perfectly and took some great pics. The second was for Scuba diving. I went down to about 60 feet and had no problems. Took a picture of a sand shark and it came out awesome.

This waterproof case works great!! It snaps on and seals easily and the pictures are crystal clear. It's great for vacations and even pool and water park shots. Enjoy!

Product works very well. Read instructions first! Now that you know how to use the case you're fine. Be very careful with the gssket grease. A pea sized drop could be too much. The grease can collect sand and ruin the waterproof seal. I have only used it in a swimming pool to make sure I am comfortable before an outdoor venture. It works fantastic.

I took video of the swim team and they turned out sharp. Easy for a coach to teach better form when they can actually see it. The sound picks up as well kinda neat.

This waterproof case works great!! I have this case for 5 years and I use it most of the time for scuba diving (100 feet down). I love it! The pictures and video are crystal clear. Everybody it's impressed with my scuba diving pictures because they are not coming from a scuba diving expensive camera. It snaps on and seals easily. If my vacations involved any water or sand, I try to keep my camera safe in this case.

Took this and the Canon cam SCUBA down past 100 feet. Not a drop in the case, no problems. Camera worked as it should. There's even external mounts for additional strobes. The one major design flaw: The strap could work itself loose when wet! On a wave runner trip at dusk, the strap on the case slipped off, and the whole thing went into the sea. It floats, but a cam is impossible to find in near darkness on the sea. The strap works well enough when dry, but this is supposed to get wet, for crying out loud. Evidently, friction is reduced when the strap gets wet, allowing it to slip off.

I recently received a similar Canon waterproof case and found after the first use the the glass lens cover was permanently fogged thus preventing any further photos. Obviously a manufacturing defect. The glass lens cover is composed of two layers and once fogged cannot be de-fogged or wiped. Canon provided ZERO support for their waterproof cases and should this happen you are completely out of luck!

warranty expressed or implied in any way. The manual that comes with
the housing is to be followed in performing maintenance on the water
proof housing and is strictly up to the user to comply with the
procedures in the manual.

This case protected my digital camera from both the water I was snorkeling and the cave walls I was smashing it into as I swam through them. I have great underwater pictures from vacation due to using this case to protect my camera. It was worth every penny.
