Canon WP-DC32 Waterproof Case for SD960IS Digital Elph Camera

This is a good waterproof case from Canon as expected. So far I have taken it to only a few dives and I am very happy with it. It is negative buoyant so no need to purchase extra weights (WWDC1). Since the camera is small this is also a relatively small case. It has got two straps, one for beach use and one for dive use both of which are very useful. As long as you take good care and apply correct amount of silicone before diving you should not expect any problems with this case.
I strongly recommend it to everyone who has a Canon SD 960/IXUS 110 and like to go diving!

The Canon WP-DC32 is a convenient and functional case for my SD960IS camera. My only complaint is that the shutter button is rather insensitive. It is difficult to tell underwater when the button is pushed halfway for focussing. Often, the picture snaps before I am ready. Other buttons work fine. The seal is good--no problems thus far down to 100 ft.

I bought this housing the week before going diving in Curacao and it was UNBELIEVABLE the pictures I was able to take using this housing (and the gel packs from Amazon too) to give me the most colorful pictures I have taken. The ease of use for the buttons to access ALL THE CAMERA functions was easy. It was so easy that I used up my camera battery up review the pictures.

Used this case for the first time this weekend at home in our pool. It worked beautifully. Easy to control, easy to swim with. LOVE IT. Great investment to capture all our water fun.

Worked great while I was snorkeling in Hawaii. I was terrified it wouldn't work and would destroy my camera, but had no problems. My case was a little different, though. It's the same in every way, minus the portion covering the flash. I had no problems with that, though, because my camera has an underwater setting and didn't use the flash anyway. Applying the gel/oil to the case was really easy. It doesn't need to be neat to get the job done, so don't worry about that. I found one application lasted my entire trip. Definitely get it if you're going to snorkel. The videos and pictures I took in Hanauma Bay are incredible (I've attached a video with my review)! Only issue (and this is a SMALL issue) is the metal screws on the outside have started to rust from being underwater. It's not hurting my case or camera, bit the rust stands out through the clear plastic. Otherwise, no complaints.

Great pictures and no wet camera!! Great!! Took this while snorkelling and managed to get 720 pictures from my digital camera instead of the usual 100 on dry land. Clarity is wonderful though it does steam up sometimes when the camera gets hot.

This is a well-designed and well-executed product that performs as expected. It is easy to use and needs only a bit of preparation before use (you must coat the rubber seal with silicone). A great product.

Like the other reviews, this case is awesome just due to the fact that I ignorantly bought my camera before even thinking about a waterproof case. Someone had thought to design and build a case just perfect for my camera. Thank you! Because my camera was expensive, I was really anxious about the seal but I've had it down to 110' and it worked great. It is slightly positive buoyant in saltwater but not an issue for me. I was also worried the strap would come off my wrist when I wasn't paying attention to it but it stayed tight the whole time. Obviously it's a little cumbersome diving with all the gear and hoses and regs and it's just one more thing to get tangled in when you're maneuvering in water. Several times the camera strap wrapped around other loose items but I wasn't overly tasked with dealing with it while diving. A few times when my hands were preoccupied I unstrapped it from my wrist and strapped it to my BCD rings (all while underwater). This was especially useful when exiting and entering the boat when you can't afford to have your expensive camera (and expensive case) bouncing against the boat/ladder, etc.

The camera does all the hard photography work but the case didn't hurt the quality at all. The case has a slip on underwater flash (diffuser?) shown in the product picture. It has its own little string to keep it from being lost but it did pop off a few times. I just had to snap it back in place.

The controls and button worked fine for me. If you have the right camera for this case, you will love the case for diving.

BTW, I also used it canoeing on the river. It was great for that as well. Nothing's cooler than just bobbing in the water and taking pics of your friends with the camera lens half submerged.

As a previous Canon waterproof case I use since 5 years, this item seems well designed and fine in aspect.

I have never had a problem with leaks or similar matters. My compliment to Canon for its superb products. Including obviously the camera. Now I have an Ixus 110IS (this is the trade name in Italy of Powershot SD960IS) and it is hard to understand that in a so small space you have so large software and hardware implementation. Only to consider the possibility to take HD films has a very strong appeal. The only problem is that I have to renew software for video editing and also a more powerful computer to create and view the imagine. But it is worthwile afterall.

This waterproof case worked like a charm. I highly recommend buying this product if going snorkling or scuba diving. It's rated at (I think) 120ft plus. There was no water leakage. I probably went only about 10-12 feet deep while snorkling, but it worked absolutely great. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS to make sure you operate and care for this product for lasting use. I'mmupdate again in about 6 months when I go back to Hawaii.
