This remote wireless switch/shutter release was purchased for a Canon Rebel xt. The switch works great and has proven to be a MUST HAVE in the camera bag. But this tripod is a joke. The quality is SO bad that I wouldn't DARE put my camera on it and actually let go.

So, the switch is well worth the money. Just don't expect much from the tripod.

Ignore the review by the idiotic lady above me. Who posts a review BEFORE testing a product? Anyway, this product is a pretty good price for the value of the items. The remote control is genuine Canon brand, as advertised and comes with batteries, ready to go. I was using it within 2 minutes of opening the package. Works great, the RC-1 CAN do bulb expoosure photos, for anyone who is wondering. The quality of the tripod is cheaper, as to be expected for an extra add-on to the main product that is advertised. The tripod is a little wiggly but works. A good thing about it is that because it's a cheaper tripod, it's extremely small, light, and portable for when you are on the go.

Hopefully this helps others looking at this product. I took a chance with it, unsure of some aspects of it, but I am satisfied with what I received.

i have the rc-1 for my XTi and it works great. does exactly what the description says.

This is a great item - works exactly as promised, and is a genuine Canon product.

I already had a wired remote, but now have the added flexibility of wireless so that I can be in the picture.

The fact that this seller included a tripod, and the total cost was actually less than I could find just the remote elsewhere was just icing on the cake.

The only reason I didn't give the tripod and release 5 stars is we haven't yet gone into the field to use them. The point of my selection of gifts was to give him the versatility to shoot anywhere, from any surface, any angle he needs.
